So I just started collecting Marvel Legends figures and was wondering if anybody could tell me how often a new wave comes out. Also can anyone recommend any resources for keeping track of old and new releases?

There is usually a new wave every few months. there were 4 in 2014 so every 3 months and 6 in 2015 so every 2 months. For keeping track keep an eye on the Marvel news section at Toyark, this thread and even the wikipedia article for Marvel Legends gets kept up to date pretty well. MarvelLegends.net is also useful.

I wish it was every 2 months, but nope, Ant-Man, Spider-Man, and Avengers are all out now, at the same time.

That means we have nothing to look forward to until March of 2016.

Agreed. And in my country the Thanos and Odin were released within 1-2 weeks of each other. I'm looking on the bright side that at least my wallet can recover over the next few months.

Yeah I was averaging out, I've said before we haven't had anything here past Odin yet.

Not to mention there has also been the Walgreens exclusive, the SDCC boxset, and the Guardians box set all in the same time period as well.

The first Civil War wave will likely be out at the end of December, like past years. It starts trickling out at the end of December and then in January it's widespread as stores reset after Christmas.

Vaguely related, the cheapest I can find the Hulkbuster wave in the moment is #199usd which averages out to about $39aud per figure which is about $4 more than retail. But its not coming to retail her for god knows when given we haven't even got Thanos yet. Do people think the price will drop for resellers as it gets more available at US retail or should I just buy it now?

I haven't bought Marvel Legends in years. The last one was Foom.

Vision looks really disappointing. The older Toy Biz figure looks way nicer.

Got a Hulk yesterday for $12. Now I'm 2/5 of the way to finishing my Thanos. It'd be nice to find the rest of them this cheap.

I am sure you will be able to find some price drops on individual figures, I am less certain on the case. It seems like cases are selling better at bbts than last year.

I guess the real question is how bad do you need the baf? If you can't miss out on it I'd just suck it up and pay a little more not to chance it.

No, I paid with a credit card and my card was even charged, yet they were waiting for me to call. They apparently neglected to send me an e-mail to confirm my payment info. So annoying. But now my hold is lifted and my items are being prepped for shipment.

Argh! I forgot about the Target thing. Damn. Oh, well....

    1. Marvel Now Hulk!

My second fave Hulk as I really like the sculpt and the size! Oh, he has a lovely shade of green too!

    2. Comparison with AOU Hulk

As some of us know, The Marvel now Hulk shares the same exact mould with the AOU Hulk.

    3. Ghost Rider!

For those collecting ML for years, IMO the pay-offs pretty good. The current GR's aesthetics seems to go well with the TB's bike!

The Spirit of Vengeance rides again! Vrrroooommmm!

Oh wow! You have the SH Figuarts Hulk? Is it possible to take a comparison picture (in terms of height) with an average ML figure like Hawkeye? I wanna see how big he is? Thanks in advance! :)

Indeed he is...I haven't opened mine up yet! X)

IMO some ToyBiz figures are still better (in terms of sculpt) than their Hasbro counterparts. Off the top of my head - Magneto and Deadpool, Face-off Hulk, Capt, Hawkeye (has the arrows).
