They really could have done a better BAF, or at least a larger one and just include crabby mc' crab-face in the lineup.
The BAFs get smaller and smaller.. Galactus is tallest (counting horns) Sentinel is very close second. Apocolypse is third. Giant man is just slightly shorter Onslaught is a very large normal sized figure.. I think the huge BAFs spoiled you all. I see the new BAFs (Onslaught, Mordok, etc) as being a free 7th figure. Buy six, get one free.
Yeah, I'm very much confused as to why Onslaught is still a BAF at that size. When ToyBiz announced him, I was expecting something Galactus sized, not a toy that could have been packaged by itself. Wait... I thought Hasbro only had control of manufacturing, while ToyBiz was still in charge of design. Anyone know exactly what is going to happen?
Hasbro is taking over manufacturing. ToyBiz will still be designing them. People are getting confused by the fact that the company that has been doing the manufacturing is called ToyBiz World Wide. TBWW is a completely unrelated entity to TB. As I understand it, ToyBiz is owned by Marvel. They aren't going anywhere.
So does that means that ML will be ongoing after the Hasbro take-over? Reason i ask is because websites and toy magazines aren't sure. Even Jessie (TB head) doesn't know - or at least that's the impression he's giving.
Reason BAFs are getting smaller? check oil prices hehehe, to expensive to do the tailler BAF's with just 6 figures now*why you think Giant-Man was used in the 10 fig WM wave?*
Because it was an exclusive wave, which usually doesn't sale as much/well as a regular wave so they included a piece with every character as an incentive to get the whole line? Just a thought.
Well that is part of it i guess but it's also oil prices going up and stuff also hehe. Speaking of the WM wave how are ya'll peeps doing with finding it/getting them? I've only seen it once and got AoA Wolvy and Face off Cap vs Skull.
I've found (through a friend) Havok and Warbird. I also have Thor, Kitty Pryde, Weapon X variant and the rest are on layaway.
Here are some MLs I would like to see. Odin Hercules Quicksilver Lilandra in shiar armor Hela Beta Ray Bill (I think I've seen pics of a ML version somewhere) Polaris Banshee Gladiator Contemporary Jean Grey Surtur as a BAF figure but I doubt this will happen since he's a fire demon and the toybiz is a bit too politically correct nowadays. We can forget about Mephisto too. Sif Enchantress
Oh, I got mine a month back or so The only one I never bought was the bearded banana. Didn't need a lame variant of an already lame character/figure. **Note to self. Need to take pictures of Giant Man post-aquiring Variant Weapon X** The Goliath and Red Skull had come in the mail from my friend the same day as I got the Walmart wave He'd been holding on to them for awhile, kept forgetting to send them out to me lol. So I had a nice surprise. Oh, and adding these today helped muchly too:
God, I really hope the Wal-Mart back home has the exclusives when I get home next week. I really don't want to miss out on these. Especially when my a number of characters I like and the beginnings of an Avengers collection are all there. And for some strange reason, I'm still mildly interested in the Young Avengers set, despite having never read the comic. Since we seem to be doing wishlists now... -I demand the rest of PAD's X-Factor: Polaris, Multiple Man, Wolfsbane, Strong Guy, and Quicksilver. Plus a new Havok. And somehow, we should get Val Cooper. -Doc Samson (to re-enact X-Factor #87) -Blink -Rictor -Siryn -Might as well throw in M and get the new X-Factor (minus Layla Miller) -Exiles Mimic (metal skin variant) -Morph (AoA or Exiles) -Beta Ray Wade -X-Factor Cyclops and Marvel Girl (final blue and yellow costumes) -I'd totally buy Black Bolt if they somehow gave him mouth articulation -Face Off: AoA Magneto VS Apocalypse -Face Off: Cable (with a GOOD headsculpt) VS Stryfe
Was strolling through Target and they just put a fresh case of the Apocolypse series out. I know big deal but.. scored the Sasquatch, Iron Fist & Wolverine variants finally for retail. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v148/loebig/Marvel/MLSasquatchwhitevariant.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v148/loebig/Marvel/MLIronFistredvariant.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v148/loebig/Marvel/MLWolvienomaskvariant.jpg Also decided to see how that Xmen Wolverine & bike set was. (at TRU for 14.99) The figs pretty solid, the bike's nice and heavy, but alot of the chrome parts (handlebars mainly) are really cheap plastic. Like knockoff bend & snap cheap. Wonder how Cyclop's bike is?
Ooh, I like that idea. Thanks to friendly people online, I've got 2 Bearded Sentry figues, one bright, one unbright. I also picked up the Monsters set, love the Zombie. And yesterday, I picked up a X-men Electromagnetic Magneto figure. I'm really quite impressed, a great figure, IMHO.
If it's this guy http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v148/loebig/Marvel/XmenMagneto.jpg then cool, he turned out to be alot better than I thought. The helmet's a little thin but good enough and like how there's 2 holes in his back for positioning his cape.
Dang! That Magneto looks very good! Unfortunately the major retailers in my country don't bring them in and the local import stores sells them for around US$18-20 - which is abit pricy in my book...
