I don't know if I'll build giant man or not but I did get the three I wanted most Thor, Havok, and Kitty. The havok really wasn't as bad as early pics showed him to be, I actually like him a lot. I have wanted that figure ever since I read the Neal adams orginal issues years back. The thor is awesome beyond words. It is way better than the early series version. It looks great with the 2-pack Captain America. The Kitty is so-so, not bad, not great. I hope we see more astonishing x-men figs because so far we have wolvie, kitty, and the upcoming collosus. I would love a cat beast and cyclops in astonishing gear. I am interested in the Captain Britain as it looked very cool, I think I will get him next.

Yeah, Captain is cool! But he's way out of my reach for now! Blast this concept of "store exclusives"! Bleh! Anyway being a huge Hulk fan, I'm looking forward to getting the Marvel 2-pack Hulk and ML13 Abomination!

Yeah that Onslaught looks disappointing. I hope we see a "first form" Onslaught later. :(

Thats stange, I did a search for a dedicated Marvel Legends thread, but there isn't one! Must have got deleted way back just before Toyfair.

Anyway, my question is about the Apocalypse Series X-23. There are two versions of her, one black (better looking IMO, and the one I have) and a big lipped purple version.

Why are there 2 versions, each with different head/hair sculpts? Is is a variant? Chase? Other? The problem with ML these days is there are too many chases and varients per series now, I remember when Unmasked Wolverine was the only Varient to get.

Anyhoo, an answer would be great!

I believe officially, Toybiz said the purple one was the variant. However, production for both was pretty even.
When the wave first hit, certain areas received the black version, and others received the purple. I've seen both regularly around here.
I have both, but the black version is a bit better. The purple looks like my daughter's Bratz doll.

Anybody know where I can find a dedicated ML sightings thread (on here or elsewhere). I've done some google searches and have yet to find anything useful and reliable. I'm trying to find the Giant Man wave and I'm getting sick of wasting gas needlessly. Thanks!

Yeah, I can confirm that...the purple X-23 is the varient. And I agree - both versions of the toys seem to be in equal numbers.

regarding ML walmart wave in canada

So any Canadians that want the wave goto

www.agesthreeandup.com or www.legendsaf.com to get the wave. Its a preorder now but its still pretty cheap to order, its better than trying to get it off ebay from the scalpers there. ALSO the face-off 2 packs are an american only item aswell and legendsaf.com is taking preorders for them aswell.

I can recommend legendsaf.com as i just got the ML 13 wave off them and the service was great and it only took 2 days to get to me. My walmart's in Hamilton Ont are so far behind on the MLs, lol. TRU wont be getting ML series 13 apparently till mid to late june says my source there.

Both stores are in Canada, ages being in Vancouver BC & legends in Quebec QC

    Hope that helps.

Ahahaha! The left arm of X-23 broke off like Play doh!

Looks like I'll be on a trip back to TRU soon. I thought the first Fantastic Four Invisible Girl figure looked flimsy, but its completely fine, yet this newer one, which looked more robust broke within a day!

Crazy. Still, its to be expected about Toybiz figures, I don't wanna get started but my last three ML's have been quite shoddy really.

The messageboard isn't nearly as active as this one, but the guys there do pretty well with listing sightings.

I just need Warbird and I'm set.. Going hunting for her tommorow. Got a Hot Wheels guy looking too. We see each other at Target and talk.. Nice guy. He is not a scum bag who find all the rare ones to sell on Ebay. If he finds the rare ones he get them all and then sells them at cost to his buddies so the scalpers can't get them..

I just got the new ML Onslaught series. Anyone else notice how bloody SOFT these figures are? I'm almost scared to really touch them because I worry about breaking the sticky joints.

    Yeah they are pretty soft.
Had a few break at the knees and wrists. (X23, Omega Red) They can't be handled like the Joes.
Mainly the thin ones. Big or thick ones like Hulkbuster, MechaHulk, Sentinel are pretty solid though and can take some abuse.

I know they're made for great poses but sometimes they have stiff parts that don't want to move.
Especially in the breaking in process after opening.

There's still something so addictive about them and they're still quite fun to mess with. They're great when you get a shelf full. One of the most fun Ive had displaying toys.

Not really had many problems with mine other than the joints seem to be painted into position and then can get rather loose once they've been moved, and the random paint chipping (Omega Reds boots being the worst for me).

Unfortunatley most stores around here are still stuck on the Galactus series (with a few having some Apocs) so I haven't seen the Onslaught series in retail (and I don't much want that series at all but I really want Onslaught). My local Comic shop gets crazy with prices on sets too.

Still waiting on the Onslaught, Mojo & Giantman series here. Still need a Thor bad.

Anyone getting into the Civil War series?
Scored a teaser comic for it (and lots of flyers)
