Damn. That is a huge batman collection! Myself I am looking to get rid of most of my batman stuff. I keep bing batman stuff and then keep wondering why, lol. Keeping a few things like some play arts but think I'm gonna sell my sdcc batman stuff and also my dc Collectibles Arkham asylum deluxe figures. Let me know if anyone is interested.
It's from the TRU dcsh exclusive batman & robin 2 pack. One of my favorite batman figures because of the clothe cape, which unlike most figures these days are plastic.
I'm sure an enterprising young lad could Frankenstein the legs of a DCUC Batman onto that figure with little effort.
Thanks! I'll have to keep an eye out for him. Yeah, they're all over the place with articulation on these guys, and it rarely seems to be enough. Frustrating that there's no standard. Take the Arkham series 3 Batman for example- there's no excuse for the lack of waist swivel on a toy that's supposedly aimed at collectors. I think I just got spoiled with the 6" and 8" Thundercats. Nice to see the upcoming series 4 Batman is getting an abdomen joint, bicep swivels, and double jointed knees.
Will take pics when I get home, but new to the Batman game. Transitioned to certain Batman stuff, MPs and TF 3rd party primarily. Nicer collection, more adult oriented. I currently have: Kai Play Arts Armored Arkham Batman Batman and Son Batman Corgi 1/43 2000s batmobile Hot Wheels 1/50 Tumbler - black and camo Currently in progress to my doorstep - Hot Wheels 1/18 1989 Batmobile Elite
My newest acquisitions: Batman Forever Batboat Dark Knight Rises QuickTek Batpod 5in Bane Walmart exclusive (The Batman it comes with is not pictured, that's the 5in TDK Batman) Pretty much every QuickTek Variant, all of those for only $24. $3x8=$24 Thank you Target. I have a review of them here: Snippets from my collection
Well, considering I don't have uh...what you guys have, I would say that's a huge missing part. But that's why I've always argued against figures that are not 5in tall. Larger figures have always posed a problem. I know you can't see them, but I actually have several 10 and 12 in Batmen from yesteryear (Batman & Robin, some Applause Batman and Robin in shorts, Justice League Batman and Batman Returns also by Applause I believe). They were ALL presents. When Mattel decided to go with 6in figures or taller, I....couldn't say no because I hadn't seen new Batman figures since TNBA (this is the long fall from Hasbro period of the 1999-2002), and I needed variety anyways, and we had just bought a large house, so I could put them in. Do you guys remember the missing waves from that first Batch of Comic Style figures that never got released? I'm not sure this is a bad thing, because they wouldn't fit in a thousand years. Especially now. That's why I'm missing so many DC figs (Azrael, Catwoman, mostly recent stuff), because they are expensive as heck, and uh they just don't really fit. Hell, I have no idea where to put those TDKR QuickTek Batmen or any new figures. I have other collections and I'm not gonna hit those spaces.
The crappy plastic capes on the Mattel Batman figures are why I don't collect them. Why make them super articulated if the cape hinders all of it?
Yeah, they do have that issue. They used to have cloth capes when they began though, and most of the The Batman figures that had capes had cloth capes. It's just the modern ones. If they AT LEAST had removable plastic capes, they would be better. Oh, and before I forget, here's my newest acquisition! Toy Biz Batcave! Wow it's cooler than I thought, despite the fact that pretty much none of the piecs are attached... But this is what makes the cave REALLY cool: Brilliant, bloody brilliant. Future Batcaves should follow this model.
Which one is that one? I used to have a large Hot Wheels Batmobile, but I sold it because it didn't fit and I needed the money. Same with the 1940's Corgi Batmobile. I'm ashamed of myself.
It's the Hot Wheels 1:18 Elite. Not the Metals edition, which is more expensive but has all that gold on it that doesn't look as good.
Looking thru this thread brought back a ton of memories. I saw the Bruce Wayne Street Cruiser in one of these pics. I was kinda pissed at first when I got one because I wanted the Batmobile but it turned out to be one of my favorites as a kid. I got to search my folks garage to see if I still got it somewhere.
The articulation serves its purpose. I watched TFreivew's video review of the SDCC Bruce Wayne Batman. He's said he didn't mind the hindered articulation because he liked the aesthetic of the suit. I would take Hot Toys' more articulate and armored Batman toys over it.
