When did he say that? Did you happen to misread Splinter as Shredder?

I don't think so. I wouldn't expect these to be at any stores yet anyways.

They're SRP is $14.99 each. Though I would expect TRU to be selling them for closer to twenty bucks.

He said the only ones missing are Shredder, Foot Soldier and April, but he has a Shredder, Even if he mistakenly said that instead of Splinter it shows that he has Splinter too.

    This is confirmed?

Bandai did this with Thundercats (waiting a long time between waves) and it didn't end up working too well for them. An 8 months wait between waves is really, really extreme for any line and I don't think this first wave has enough steam to keep it selling consistently for 8 months unless the television show does amazing numbers.

I wouldn't mind seeing Wave 1 in August with Wave 2 in November or December, then Wave 3 in April.

Love they went the extra mile and added a little gold paint to their buckles. Though I wish they'd also added a little extra detail to the weapons. Regardless the fab four and shredder will have a place on my shelf.

Sorry. I was the one who accidentally typed Shredder instead of Splinter...

The guy who has the Shredder figure does not have a Splinter. The pictures of the in-package Splinter are from a different source. Someone over on the Technodrome forums found the front and back in-package images of the turtles and Splinter. I'm not sure where he found them.

A while back I emailed Playmates asking about when the second wave would be hitting retail, and this was the reply I got:

I would take that as confirmation. Personally I'm not worried. Playmates has been doing this for over twenty years now. I'm confident they won't screw things up like Bandai did.

It's not a ton of paint, but the paint they used on the turtles I think is very effective. Looking back at the weird wash the preview versions had, it just made them look oddly dirty. I'm rather glad that detail wasn't used for the retail figures.

So is the classics wave coming alongside the show line? Or later?

Unless we hear differently at SDCC, they're being released with the new show's line.

DonatelloFan over at the Technodrome has gotten in the Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo figures. Here's the pictures he posted, showing off the figures next to some past figures, and with their "ninja arsenal".

I've noticed a lot of...complaining about the "lack of paint" on the turtles over at the Technodrome. Personally I think they have plenty. It's not a "ton" of paint, but there's enough. They've got paint on their headbands, eyes, teeth (well, except Don), knee pads, wrist wraps, finger wraps, knee pads, ankle wraps, and Don even has paint on the ring in his strap. I'm ok with the weapons not having any paint. Given that these are meant to be played with, that paint would probably rub off rather quickly.

After seeing the new trailer for the show I think the only lack of paint that disappoints me is the eyes. I wish they would have given show accurate eyes. This still won't stop me from going all in on this line.

I hope the foot soldiers won't be one in a case because I don't want another vehicon situation haha.

I'm ok with the white eyes, but now that you mention it, it would have been nice if they had accurate eyes. Would also be nice if they sculpting of the figures was more accurate. The feet, while three-toed, are rather different than how they look in the show. It's not a bad look, but the disconect is a little weird.

Going off of BBTS's listing for the basic figure case...it'll depend on which version of the case that your store gets in. One case will have two foot soldiers and one Kraang, and the other case will have one foot soldier and two Kraang. Kinda weird considering both figures are wave one's two army builders.

Only figure that is guaranteed to be just one per case, is April.

Due to the excitement, I donned my TMNT shirt today, went to the toy show, and YES!!! Bought at least 9 turtles, 8 from a guy that had them in baggies with all their stuff, and the black car that has fold-under wheels like a MASK vehicle.
OMT! Those pix are HOT! Thanks again!!

It looks like Playmates is still working on their TMNTlistings. The dromers have found too more. First of which is a listing for the Classic Collection Michelangelo figure:

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Classic Collection Michelangelo : Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

First stock photo of the CC packaging I've seen. Looks great. I'm considering getting a double of one of the turtles to keep in-package.

Now, the second listing is for a weird Leo figure that we haven't seen before:

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Night Shadow Leonardo : Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Looks like it could be an SDCC exclusive. If they do a Raph like this, and if he was available for a reasonable price, I would consider getting him.

Before anybody freaks out, I believe that these are listed as "Out of Stock" because they aren't ready to sell them yet.

It's ugly for sure, but that's what I love about it.
Total throwback to ugly packaging of the 90's.
    Seems appropriate for Turtle toys.

So I saw the trailer for this show and, uh...not sure I'm going to be wanting these figures anymore! I will give the actual show a chance once it's on but...wow, that was bad.

Classics should still be awesome though.

The show has no effect on me wanting these. I want the 4 main turtles no matter how bad the show could be.
