I figured it was something like that. I am guessing Diamond is getting backstock with this new distribution deal. But I wouldn't be surprised if Bandai started pimping the molds even more repaints. Mothra, Battra please.

Yea, I missed out on Mothra so I'm praying he's next in line.

Pth $100 here $150 there... What a hobby. I don't think you missed Mothra as much as he was a Tamashii exclusive (Internet forgive me if I'm wrong). I am pretty sure you were in for a right @&$)ing at release. Like I can't get a proper Deathscythe or Shenlong RS for less than $100.

Mothra was $65, what are you talking about?

North America gets MonsterArts web exclusives, have for years ever since Little Godzilla, so the fact that she was an exclusive didn't have anything to do with Mothra's current secondary market price.

I managed to snag Mothra at 65 bucks off of Amazon so yea. Her price shot up when stock went dry, the same old game that is SHMA.

Hence the "Internet forgive me" comment, I knew it was an exclusive, I watched an old review, I assumed that meant we got taken for a ride. Glad we didn't, since I just paid $150 for an SRC Grendizer with Spacer I assumed you got the shaft on all the web exclusives.

I get you. You only get the shaft on the ones that weren't available from Bluefin. The Spazer's an interesting one though, since that one was on the Tamashii international shop but not Bluefin.

Yeah it's interesting in that Grendizer is super popular and brought a lot of folks to SOC back in the day and the Spacer is essential for Grendizer fans..... I assume this was a money play. The bright shining spot is at least I got it direct from Japan and the Bandai QC is perfect... Silver linings I guess.

Weirdly some of the Tamashii web exclusives get wider release in North America via Bluefin and are thus easier to get here than in Japan. I think the second Kiryu is a good example of that.

But it has seemingly been a bit random.

It sure would be great if this new Diamond thing means we could get all the web exclusives without the markups.

    Very nice!

    1) Statue of Liberty, great touch.
    2) Displaying Biollante complaints? Neutralized.
    3) King Ghidorah very photogenic
    4) Where is little Godzilla?

I just got Mothra and Battra they are so fantastic. I am still blown away by Battra. Biollante is officially my stretch goal.

Little Godzilla is hidden by Burning G's beam. You can see part of his head if you look closely.

BTW, that is actually the Statue of Happiness from GTAIV. :lol

And this is why I keep coming back to this thread. Sooooo impressive! I still don't own any SHM's, but displays like this make me wish I'd picked them up ages ago.
My first will be the new Ghidorah I have on pre-order. Pricey, but a worthy entrance into the line. That honor was going to go to Spitfire Godzilla, but Amazon cancelling my pre-order still has me irritated.

The Ghidorah repaint might be my last SHMA figure. My display will pretty much be complete once I have him. Unless they do an Angurius...

At the rate Bandai is talking, Ghidorah could be the last SHMA figure made.
