TFW2005 board members crasis, Empir3 and Jarodimus are proud to announce the maiden voyage of PREORDER 66 – High-end Toy Podcast! This is a lighthearted audio program covering recent news in 1/6 collectibles, action figures, statues, busts and import robots in a roundtable setting.

Big robot news comes from TakaraTomy's shocking recent Masterpiece Transformer announcement and a Brave super robot from Bandai bursts onto the scene, wielding a massive hammer of courage!

I don't have much interest in the higher end collectibles like 1/6 scale or statues but I'll be sure to give this a listen, sounds like an interesting podcast with a good crew(and a pretty clever name!)

I'm only 2/3 through it, but I'm really enjoying it. Like I said, I don't collect high end items but I do enjoy hearing about the franchises covered such as Star Wars, Marvel, and of course Transformers. You guys manage to keep my attention and bring up interesting points and opinions on the subjects. I also feel the length of the podcast is a pretty good one, not too short but not too long. I'll definitely be subscribing via iTunes once it goes up there.

As for you questions at the end, I'd love to hear you guys cover Kamen Rider/Sentai related items if you have any interest in them, as I consider those somewhat high end since they do cost a pretty penny to keep up with. As for what property I'd like to see Hot Toys tackle, Metal Gear Solid, I bet they could do some good stuff with that property.

Thanks glad your liking it even though your not too into high end stuff. The podcast should be up on itunes soon its currently being approved.

As far as Kamen Rider goes for me i have never really watched any of it , i did pick up a few of the SH Figuarts when the line first started because i like the designs though. Hot Toys actually does have the Metal Gear Solid license it was announced last fall i believe so you may be seeing figures sooner rather then later. Medicom also did a bunch of items for metal gear solid that looked pretty decent.

Oh yeah, I forgot they picked it up with like a dozen other licenses at the time. Not liking those Medicom ones, IMO the Play Arts Kai automatically outdo them if for nothing more than the headsculpts.

Yea Play Arts has been doing some really great work, especially for the price point. I get more and more tempted every time i see one.
