Negatvie Ghostrider, SSC can keep their stands. I'll buy it for less locally. An alternate helmet would have put me over the top, but he ain't exactly cheap.

Haha fair enough you should go take a look at AlterEgo Comics if you want a non exclusive they norm have the best prices and they offer a reward program like sideshow.

The stand is pretty cool even if I never use it. The way I see it I was buying Boba either way, this was just a nice freebie to go along with him. No problems during the PPO either, I even did it on my Blackberry @ work :lol .

I picked up the Sideshow EX Boba, as well. I'll be using the EX stand with my Medicom ROTJ Boba. I can't think of any other use for it. :lol

I too picked up the Sideshow EX Boba today on PPO. I sold my Medicom Boba a while ago so not quite sure what I'll be doing with the stand. Maybe I'll cancel my preorder later (I usually cancel all my Sideshow preorders, dont think I've ever actually completed one) and pick up the non-EX cheaper elsewhere

sadly, I was not able to get in on the preorder :(  i dont know how it worked, since they made it sound like i had to pay the entire $175 all at once, not a little at a time, then again i have to pay off my preorder for swtor collector's edition

well you can still get the figure at other places if you would like. THe PPO did actually have both the flex pay and normal pay option though

You never pay for a Sideshowtoy.com preorder until it is in-stock (which, in this case won't be until April 2012 or later). You can also cancel anytime without penalty (unless the item is over $200, in which case you sometimes have to take a loss of $20 of so). They also have a Flex-Pay option, which lets you pay in installments.

But, honestly, the EX for this Boba is nothing exciting at all. Save some money and go with a retailer like Alteregocomics.com, who have the cheapest price around ($157). They also don't make you pay upfront.

Here's a listener question. And I apologize I am a few episodes behind so if this has been answered just disregard this question.

With the ever growing price increase on "high end" collectibles, (specifically 1/6th scale) what is your breaking point? To quote the Million Dollar Man "everybody has a price". To me, the bubble will eventually burst and in this economy (I know as cliché' as it sounds but it's true) people will be priced out of the park so to speak. So I ask you all, what is your breaking point? Me, I am about tapped out at $250 a figure. That will send me back to the Transformers age of collecting (retail)...if that makes sense. Keep up the great work!

So just post here then? Ok, well I spent a while thinking of one so here it goes.

With the 1/6 figure makers, the big thing is what licenses they have. But if they began going more into their own creations (The Dead for example), how likely would you look into buying those? What kind of things and themes would the lines have to be to spark your interest? Thanks for an answer guys.
