Sorry for bringing back this zombie thread, but I'm wondering... I believe there were some 6-7" figures made for the Tron: Legacy line, but did they ever make any light cycles in that scale too, or are the only light cycles they made in the 3.75" scale?
Went shopping today, decided to check Big Lots for knock offs and over-stock they get in, and they STILL have a good chunk of Tron Legacy stuff. For four bucks I got me a Quorra figure. Almost bought the Kevin Flynn light cycle too. She's actually a pretty nice action figure. The light-up gimmick, while nothing spectacular, is a nice little addition. Her sword has a slight bend to it, but it's not bad. Don't think I'll get any of the other figures, but for four bucks it's worth having a figure of Olivia Wilde...even if she's wearing a helmet...lol
So I didn't know this, but apparently certain Spinmasters Tron Legacy toys have plastic & paint that glows under a black light. Not all of them do this. Not my vid, but check it out. must haves fore TRON Legacy toys - YouTube
That's...pretty sweet. Kinda makes me want to track down more of the Tron toys, dig out my old blacklight, get a new bulb for it, and set-up a nice little Tron display.
Yeah, like the guy said, they should have advertised this on the box. Probably would have sold a bit better. Now I wanna dig out my figures and see if they glow.
Funny Fact: The Legacy toys weren't released here when the movie came out, but early this year many stores got entire cases of the figures already discounted like 70% off, I mean what the heck?
They've been showing up all over the place at discount stores around here, as well. I'm not sure if that's good or bad, in the long run.
Bad figures clogging the shelves is rarely a good thing. But who knows maybe they'll find a creative use for those figures.
