I think in making an all black Voltron someone has apparently missed the entire point of the robot. I mean don't get me wrong. Sometimes the weird pointless black repaints can be really cool looking or interesting. But when you are making a robot that is specifically color coded as an element of its core function? Yeah, somebody missed a meeting somewhere.

 

You mean it should have been protoype gunmetal or clear?
It's nice in black. Hope its exclusivity doesn't make it too difficult to get. Would like this one day and get it over the official release. I have the old one. So the hand/arms are improved?

 

I thought it's core function was, y'know, combining.

But that's just me.

 

Hard to tell since we only have three or so pics to go by. I think the joints for the gestalt thighs and ankles have been improved for better posing though. Aside from show accuracy, I don't think the figure's that different at this point.

You act like this is replacing the original. It's not. Having a separate Voltron that is primarily one color may be pointless to you, but for many, including myself, this is something they didn't know they wanted until they laid eyes on it.

Just saw this v2 news. Makes me sad since I already own v1, lol. It looks like they changed the face, which looks better. Bicep swivel would be nice, though the v1 has forearm swivel so it isn't as horrible as it sounds. I'll probably bite on a v2 if the price is OK

 

Have there any new pics about the v2 yet? I'd like to see more of it.

 

This looks nice. I have the V1 version but I'm waiting on the Voltron EX from Toynami. I'm not sure I can swing both though ...

 

Has anyone had their red lion from v1 just break? I only had mine on display and just recently took it apart to move to store while I move everything around. Then the red lion just fell apart. I can't seem to get a hold of anyone for a fix or a replacement body. Makes me wary of buying the "official" version now. The white piece seems really weak brittle plastic.

I need some way to fix this. Not into pricey junk I can't display.
