Are gundam markers like Sharpie pens? Do they work better than the Sharpie pens and paints? I've seen a lot of great work done with them. If that is what you want to do and you think you have the skill, well, you're more artically talented than I am. I know Mattel was going for the animated look, but some panel lining detailing would have been nice.

Gundam markers are paint markers, sharpies are ink markers. Paint markers are used as paint for things like models. Sharpies are self explanatory, I would imagine.

I love it. Big, sturdy as hell, nice colors, leg articulation not as hindered as I expected. Lance's joints leave a little to be desired, but he looks great standing by the lion or sitting in the lion, so I can't complain. I feel like this is totally worth the price. The slow build is going to be painful.

I like the gimmicks, the size, the vibrant colors, the human figure, the cockpit... I don't care much about poseability for the lions, that's not how the set will be displayed anyway. So combined the thing will be almost as tall as Fortress Maximus, right?
Selling my collection here. From G1 to now, Botcon, 3rd party, name it. Updated 04.30.13.

Looks like BBTS may have found some in stock.
Die-Cast Voltron Gift Set (1997) - Voltron Vintage

I regret that I didn't buy it when I saw it for $40 back in the day.

Yep, Voltron is 23" tall. Not sure exactly how tall Fort Max is, but it has to be close.

Weird that it's at a preorder, they've had those in stock for a long time. In December they had over 20 of them.

I thought it was weird, too.
I think they might be getting them from a supplier who found some more unclaimed Trendmasters stock from a warehouse -just a guess.

Probably. Would be nice if they also found some unclaimed Trendmasters Iron Giant toys.
