As some know the video game part of the toys was the worst part.

Minus the video game aspect. I thought most of the toys were ahead of there time. As far as creativity went. Humanoid bot modes with bead aspects thrown in. Greatly articulated toys. Great range of tiny to medium to large to Extra large toy. Awesome range of vehicle modes chosen.

Sadly the toys bombed. Luckily for fans of the toys, this results in major clearances reduced prices. Up to almost 75% to 85% off original MSRP.

Clearly the toy designers for the 2015 RID cartoon and toy line heavily borrowed from Web diver. As far as the Earth based new Decepticons who had humanoid robot modes with beast elements thrown in. That transformed into vehicle modes. Honestly I think web Diver crate better toys for this concept compared to 2015 RID Decepticons.

Back in the day 20+ years ago. Most fans were guessing that some Web Diver toys might have been originally planned for Takara Brave. Especially that Extra large toy for that Web Diver train bot.

Noticed that a company named, Good Smile, is going a few updated toys for Web Diver. Guessing this means, Takara does not own these, Web Diver toys and can't re-release or do any updated toys for them.

Have to give Takara and Hasbro major credit for getting around not owning Web Diver.
By doing toys for those RID 2015 Earth based Decepticons.

Here is some pics of Web Diver toys along with 2015 RID Decepticons. So some can see the toys and similarities.

I wouldn't really say "most". The only readily available ones are the "Deluxe" ones: Jaguaron, Phoenikon, Sharkon, and Griffeon. Sourcing on any of the larger figures have long since dried up, and tend to be pretty pricey when they do make an appearance.
