Who ya gonna call? Mattel's Ghostbusters!

Mattel Set to Launch Collectible Line for Classic Comedy Blockbuster “Ghostbusters” - Mattel - ToyNewsI.com

Best toy news that could ever happen in my case. I'll be passing on the 12inch figures, but the 6 inch line for both the movie and the cartoon will be mine at the expense of poverty!

DISCUSS!

Wow! 6" movie Ghostbusters have to be at the top of the "why the hell don't we have these yet?" list. Definite buy. Bill Murray action figure FTW!

I agree completely... DAMMIT a new series I'm gonna want every last figure of. Ah well, it'll hold me over until Classics 3.0!

Michael Bay may not have raped my childhood, but I think he may have molested it.

You know I'll be all over this. Good timing also because I think I will pass on the ROTF line. Mattel has to release the Ecto-1.

That's really exciting. I guess they must have finally gotten Bill Murray to sign off on toys being made in his likeness. It's about time. That guy has done everything possible to make sure that Ghostbusters never did anything more for 20 years, and now all of a sudden he's all about it now that his career is fading out.

Mattel's Ghostbusters discussion

Ok, now that Mattel is making a Ghoustbuster line, some questions come to mind:
1) Where will it be availible? Through stores or just Mattycollector?
2) Will the actual Ghostbusters be released one per month like MOTUC if they are just online exclusives?
3) Will we see some actual ghosts from the cartoon, like the Boogeyman, Samhien, etc?

Wish List
core (they can either be the movie likeness or the cartoon versions)
Winston
Ray
Peter
Egon
Lewis
Janine

Ghosts
Samhein
Boogeyman
Bounty Hunter (from one of the later seasons)
Goozer
Staypuff Marshellow Man (12 inch)
Slimer
Cthulu

Vehicles/ Playsets
Ecto 1
Ecto 2
Firhouse

Hopefully we'll get a wide assortment of beasties. I'd love it if they released them in a rotocast/vinyl kaiju style.
