This looks nice, but $240 for an 8" toy is ridiculous. For the same price I could buy any Soul of Chogokin and feel like I got what I paid for, or for that matter I could get almost any Macross toy I would want.
To each their own, but $240+ for this seems crazy. I would rather buy a minty boxed Roadbuster. |

Still, if I have the money, I'd like to get this updated "Roadbuster".

Personally I'll stick with the Universe repaint we're getting (I'm going to get that two-pack anyways). | Dude, a Whirl too? Damn, so tempting yet so expensive. |

I've been waiting years for a good Calibur toy, and this thing looks like it'll be total aces all the way. If it's anything like the Legioss/Tlead set they put out this year it'll be a fantastic and playable toy.
As for price, CMs is a pretty small company that can't afford risks like other companies can, and CMs loves to make toys for properties that aren't neccessarily guaranteed to sell like hotcakes. If they didn't charge the prices they do they probably either wouldn't be in business anymore or wouldn't be making toys at the level they do. It sucks that a lot of people get priced out of most of their stuff, but thems the beans. |
