My one experiance with CM was the GGG Brave Gohkin, which absolutely did not meet my quality standards. The plastic bits were thin and cheap feeling, parts wanted to jump off, and the paint job was inconsistent.

This looks nice, but $240 for an 8" toy is ridiculous. For the same price I could buy any Soul of Chogokin and feel like I got what I paid for, or for that matter I could get almost any Macross toy I would want.

To each their own, but $240+ for this seems crazy. I would rather buy a minty boxed Roadbuster.

I really really want it but $240.00 in today's economy is a lot even for this spend thrift.

The one Brave Gokin I have (Goshogun) is pretty much Soul-of-Chogokin-like quality wise; but the SoCs that size usually go for $80-100, not $240.

Still, if I have the money, I'd like to get this updated "Roadbuster".

Personally I'll stick with the Universe repaint we're getting (I'm going to get that two-pack anyways).
Dude, a Whirl too? Damn, so tempting yet so expensive.

I'm going to preorder one for sure. I've been waiting years for a good Calibur toy, and this thing looks like it'll be total aces all the way. If it's anything like the Legioss/Tlead set they put out this year it'll be a fantastic and playable toy.

As for price, CMs is a pretty small company that can't afford risks like other companies can, and CMs loves to make toys for properties that aren't neccessarily guaranteed to sell like hotcakes. If they didn't charge the prices they do they probably either wouldn't be in business anymore or wouldn't be making toys at the level they do. It sucks that a lot of people get priced out of most of their stuff, but thems the beans.
