It took me a while to realize that when you said Kabuto was discontinued, it wasn't just the perpetual backorder status he's had for weeks, including when I finally decided to order a SHF. But black-border, skull of doom discontinued! I scored the last cheap one I could find - 36 shipped within the US, very comparable to HLJ anyway.

It's just plain crazy that Kamen Rider 2 is simply nowhere.

It's not bad for a US adaptation. The sidestory is admittedly dull and pulls too many glaringly obvious jokes. The Ryuki footage is, well, what it is, and I do like what I've seen. The best characterization I've seen so far have been with Incisor/Scissors and Zolda/Torque. A little more comical with Incisor, but entertaining and not detrimental.

...I think it might be because of who it is that portrays him! Who doesn't love Hassei Takano? He's been one of the most badass Ultras ever, Agul. He's been an awesome and important Rider twice.

Unless I missed something and the Showa Rider 2 had some massive fan base compared to Showa Rider 1. But that wouldn't make sense, because V3 is like the Ultraseven of Showa Riders, and that hasn't affected his SHF.

I always look at my Figuarts pre-orders and consider cancelling, but then remember how unbelievably hard it is to find these bloody things in the aftermarket sometimes. >.<
