Best of Classics and Henki

Ok guys, I'm a BIG fan of Classics and Henki and I plan to get only the better looking one of the same character from either so I appreciate input from you guys.

For example, Classics Grimlock is the better one than Henki Grimlock or Henki Megs is better than Classics Megs. I'm curious to Optimus and Jetfire's comparisons!

If there was a similar thread to me, my apologies!

Probably needs to be moved to the TF Toys section, dude... But for the record, I prefere Classics Grimmy because the metalised parts on Henkei Grimmy look crap.

Henkei Convoy > Classics Prime
Classics Jetfire > Henkei Skyfire
Classics Grimlock > Henkei Grimlock
Henkei Astrotrain > Classics Astrotrain
Henkei Powerglide > Classics Powerglide (...just from picture comparisons).

I'd go Classics for almost anything else, just because it's cheaper for me. It might not matter up in your neck of the woods.

I've got both the Classics and Henkei versions of Prime/Convoy side by side on my shelf and IMO the differences aren't that noticeable. If I weren't a Prime/Convoy collector I would've stuck w/ the Classics version.

My collection is a good mix so far of the 2 brands. Here's the breakdown:

Henkei:
Convoy
Skyfire
Megatron
Starscream
Astrotrain
Ramjet

Classics:
Optimus Prime
Bumblebee
Grimlock
Mirage
Hot Rod
Ultra Magnus
Skywarp
Thundercracker (Botcon)

Man, I missed out on the Classics 1.0, so I'd go for the Henkei Transformers, because the prices of the Classics 1.0 nowadays are overpriced on eBay or anywhere else on the Internet.

same here, just starting on universe/classics 2.0 and decided to catch up on 1.0 too...
cant find classics 1.0 in stores obviously, and in singapore, henkei figures are around the same price as movie or animated deluxe/voyager class figures

im getting henkei prime, megs, bumblebee, rodimus (hot rod?) and ramjet...and starscream...
hoping to also find jetfire and soundwave (reissue)...grimlock looks bad, im gonna pass him...its gonna be hard to find classics 1.0 grimlock, and im not really a fan of this figure

I have the entire Classics 1.0 series minus the minicons and legends and deluxe prime but I have to say it's awesome.

The only Henkei I have is Astrotrain, the rest are Classics but if you're looking for the best ones to get from Henkei get:

Henkei Convoy
Henkei Megatron
Henkei Astrotrain
Henkei Thundercracker

The rest can be classics though some will be a bit hard to track down mind you, it took me since the summer of 07 and I just finished last week.

I got Hasbro Classics before Henkei was announced. I still order Henkei when there's significant differences (better), like Henkei Astrotrain.
