because I prefer the old versions of some sets? because i don't buy sets from a show I don't like? I don't see you bashing people for not buying prequel sets.

excuse me for not wanting to buy 3 rehashes of the same jedi fighter.

My personal favourite has to be the 2012, that thing rocks. All the proportions are great, and the grey edge around the wings really finishes it off.

I personally find it to be a bit flashy, the TIE was not a large ship. I like the blue one because it is small, yet it does its job. it also didn't cost a ton, you cant army build the 2012 version. ;)

    Sure you can

You would think that some who claims "I, at only five, could read at a sixth grade level, then a seven year old could certainly read and understand a ten year storyline. Heck, when I was ten, I read at a high school level" could figure that out

If you'd like to see why a welcome was worn out and a banhammer was dropped take a look at the link below. The hilarity ensues for a couple pages before other members and a mod get tired of it

Yeah, I concur with you guys as in a new tie with be eventually released. I'm kicking myself for not getting into Lego SWs earlier because I was thinking of army building but on a smaller scale. For example, I was thinking of getting 2 regular ties and Vader's tie. But at the rate of the price increases, I'll stick to 1 now.

Anyway, I would like to thank you guys for the earlier recommendations. I got the later Batman vs Two Face chase and I enjoyed the set. My kids love the Batmobile so much that I have to surrender it to them! LOL!

My next targets will be the DC Lex Luthor Power Armor and the Hulk lab smash. I have to extremely selective with my Lego collection as my focus all these years have been action figures.

There's a tie four pack (2 classic ties, 1 droid tie and 1 tie/a) I don't know the after market prices for it though.

Tie 4-pack?! Good grief! I need to look it up!

Anyway, its official! I'm hooked by the Lego Superheroes line. I just nabbed a Hulk Buster set, Captain America vs Hydra and Lex Luthor Power Armor.

    1. The Hulk Buster set is pretty decent with the choice of mini figures.

    2. Cap vs Hydra set is a pretty fun and I like the mini figures. It's a pity that Skull and his hunch man have no mini weapons.

    3. Lex set. Again, I dig the choice of mini figures with Supes and Wonder Woman.

Now all I need is a 'regular' Joker and Darkseid and I'm satisfied with my DC lego.

This set's going to be released soon, comes with a regular Joker, and a bunch of other stuff including a new Batmobile so you could hide this one from your kids and keep it for yourself :lol  but it's like $120 USD

Not sure how much these are now though.

And if you don't mind switching the hairpiece to this one from the Asylum Joker:

You could probably still get this one in stores.

I've seen the Joker steamroller set go on clearance a lot, but I doubt it's the same case in SG

And since there's an example of randomly blue ancient fossil sets, here's some images to show how Lego's improved. Plus, I don't think they've been posted. And I like Ultra Agents.

Don't know how practical a portal hideout would be without a roof, though.

So are lego fans "look only to the future" kinds of people? I like the classic sets. :)

Pretty much. I think every time a line ends you see a massive "dumping" by many fans, so prices drop very quickly. However, within a year or two, they almost always sky rocket to ridiculous levels. LEGO may literally be the one toy you can safely use as an investment in life, and that may reflect how popular the brand really is.

I just didn't know because they called a pack of perfectly good ties "fossils".
