I know Jokerland was supposed to come out June 1st but I can't find it anywhere.

    Darkseid Invasion's pretty kickass though.

Yeah it is super frustrating. Seems like it will be easy enough to bricklink the pieces but the tires alone are going to cost like $35 for a pair.

No it wasn't. Brickipedia had that date posted (who knows where they got it?) and it spread across the internet as fact. Lego store employees state that Aug 1 is the expected date for new summer sets - Marvel, DC, Scooby Doo.

I don't get the point of doing that. I mean, is it not profitable enough to be released as a set or something?

It shows up for me (Currently Out of Stock):
    Jokerland  | LEGO Shop

I think it's because Lego's website is wacky. Pages for products sometimes appear and then disappear for some reason, even if you have the link(s).

Didn't realize that you were outside of the US. The set does show up in Google searches for the Lego AU and DE sites, no search results for us here in the States. Weird, didn't realize release dates were that different for different regions.

Pretty untrue, *Angry* Birds is expanding with numerous franchises now, and they're coming out with a feature-length movie next year.

Go to any store two years ago, tons of angry birds merchandise.

Go to any store now, very little.

If you're judging a franchise by the amount of merchandise they have in stores, I could say the same thing about Jurassic Park: it's been immensely popular among fans, but there's been ZERO merchandise related to it in stores for many years.

    But it's coming BACK!! :D  :D  :D

AB however dosnt seem to have much of a following anymore, and I wonder why lego is going to make sets of it.

They're definitely going to be released in 2015, and the AB sets are coming out in 2016.

    I found this online:
Tie Fighter 2 - Album on Imgur
They're building instructions to make a TIE Interceptor using the pieces from the 9492 TIE Fighter (most recent minifig scale one). I built it and it's pretty cool, although the grey outlines on the wings are a bit flimsy. It's quite an ingenious build.
