I finished my UCS Batmobile the other night. It's pretty badass.

Now you've unintentionally gone and reminded me of A Goofy Movie:

Yes it is, totally worth the money IMHO. Now to just decide whether I want to get the Batwing or the Ecto-1 next.

For my two cents on the matter, the Ecto-1 is a magnitudes more fun build. Lots of little subassemblies that make you wonder why they designed it that way, only to learn the answer and be amazed 100 steps down the way.

The Batwing is an entirely predictable build, just pinning together a large Technic frame and layering plates over it. The only interesting build techniques come at the end, when doing the wing edges. But it is a cheaper set, and if you have a Batman display going, it certainly adds presence.

I ordered the four Hogwarts Moments "books" the morning after their release. They were on backorder when I ordered them.
I got a shipping notification yesterday for 3 of the Moments, the free Monster Book, and the free Vintage Car.
All of the HP sets are for my gf. I'll be keeping the car.

Yeah - mine shipped yesterday with a tentative arrival date of the 19th.
They shipped my freebie item separately on Friday.

EDIT: And a random LEGO shipment showed up this morning in an oversized box - the Ideas Vintage Car. Gotta hand it to LEGO, they were sold out of the freebie when I ordered Ninjago City Gardens, it didn't show up on my invoice/cart, and yet somehow they managed to flag my order and send me the freebie anyway. :thumb

Fan Vote: Help Celebrate the 90th Anniversary...

judging by Twitter Bionicle is going to win! But I put my votes in for some 80s/90s Spacey themes

the castle and space themes are all sub-divided giving bionicle a chance. I don’t have anything against bionicle but a non-system theme representing the last 90 seems not quite right. I’m not sure why they don’t just do several sets like the did for Star Wars.

I went with Lion Knights, Blacktron, and M-tron. You can guess my age:)

I'd love to see Bionicle make a come back. Even if it's just one set.

Yeah I was shaking my head when I saw that. Talk about a rigged vote. Just give us an AFOL-oriented classic castle, Lego, with the same quality & attention to detail as a modular building or Ideas set. I don't care which emblems are on the flags & shields as long as the set itself is awesome!
