Always loved LEGO spaceships etc.. and damn did they slip a nice one onto the Ninjago line. Couldn't pass this thing up.
It'll be part of the summer set, IIRC. So, sometime between April and July, I'd assume. I'm just disappointed there isn't a new town modular Creator set. I'm building a LEGO town and I don't feel like filling it with fire and police stations, like what CITY tends to offer. There are the nice EXPERT sets, too, but those start around $150 and go up from there. For me, the $80 Pet store and Café is the perfect balance between a decent sized build and being affordable. I should take a picture of what I've put together so far...
That little $4 Sam X out now’s pretty cool , his 2nd build feels like a little roller. It’s fun rolling this little thing around lol
Needneeedneedneedneed! It's a-him! MARIO! Edit: Huh this extracted version shows more than what you can see on Twitter itself on desktop (seems fine on mobile). So if you're on an actual computer like me, check out this one instead: uploaded by infoBot V1.5 - Streamable
never did I think we would see LEGO Mario. Hell, this opens a whole new world of licences and franchises - Mario kart, Super Mario Galaxy, Mario Maker, Metroid, Splatoon...
Never gonna happen since Metal Gear is pretty much too inappropriate for LEGO. However, I’d really love to see Mega Construx lose the Pokémon license to LEGO eventually! And yes, I am aware that Nintendo only owns 1/3 of the Pokémon IP, but they are the primary owner out of the three companies that own Pokémon.
I would not. I don't think LEGO would be able to come even close to what Mega does with the color palette, use of articulation, and uniquely molded parts. As for what I'd like to see here with Mario - my only hope right now is it's not just Duplo only or something like that lol. Collectible minifig series makes a ton of sense too and I'd probably go for all of those.
Well, LEGO could do minifigure-scale Pokémon sets unlike what Mega Construx does. However, that’d require countless new-mold parts.
Depending on how profitable it could be forecast, they might allow it. OW only had 8 sets, had lots of rumors of not selling well, and had 1 specific new mould per character.
