Matchbox Connectables

I loved these toys when I was little, so I was thrilled when I found them hidden away in my old closet during a recent trip home. They're Matchbox cars, trucks, planes, and choppers, but the gimmick is that each toy can separate into 2 or more segments which can be mixed and matched to create new vehicles. I've always loved the Tractor Trailer and Chopper in particular. I've never seen anything about these, so if anyone has some or more info on them, please share.

Sorry about the poor lighting, but you should be able to make out the peg/hole system the toys use to connect. Even after all these years, they still work snugly.

I love this truck's design. I'd love to see a custom transformer based off of it.

Here are some examples of how you can interchange the parts.

And here's a mash-up of the roadster front end and a beetle back end I like to call the Firebug.

I had those too. They were pretty cool, but unfortunately made of plastic.

There's a ton on Ebay, and while looking at them, I realized that I have quite a few more back home somewhere.

Thanks! Yeah, aside from the others I mentioned liking in the post, I really like the Porsche as well. I know I've got the dragster somewhere as well.
