However, if you're patient, she's being re-released in wave 11 as a WGSH figure. She'll probably be a little easier to find at that point... from a DCUC point of view anyways... Have not seen anything new for DC Universe in a long while now if wave 10 has been out for 2 months. Hope I find her in wave 11 then. |

Had a banner night and morning. Found Robotman and Forager at the Walmart in Cedar Park and then this morning found the remainder of Wave 10 at the Walmart in Round Rock on IH 35. When I left, which was around 15 minutes ago, they still had Forager, Robotman, Black Batman, and a Man Bat left.
At least we're seeing this wave finally.
(opened them all and they are pretty cool. Joker has a loose arm, but nothing too bad, but Beast Boy had a locked hip. I'm hoping the freezer trick fixes it, but I'm not too sure it will. Any other suggestions?)
(actually it WORKED! YEA!) |

Doing the opposite, with boiling water, is also a pretty good fix and while I've heard it's better for straightening warped plastic... I have, however, found it useful for unlocking joints when the freezer trick just doesn't work. My Junkion Exchange Feedback Thread |

I'll definitely try the boiling water trick in the future when the freezing fails me. |

I have, however, found it useful for unlocking joints when the freezer trick just doesn't work. | In fact, to add in, I just got Penguin and he had a locked wrist. The kettle trick works but be careful as it softens the rubber and makes it easier to tear if the glue doesn't loosen up (as my Deathsrokes severed arm can attest to). So for Oswald, I did the kettle trick, which didn't work, so I then stuck him in the freezer for about 20 minutes and it worked like a charm. Boil then freeze for maximum expansion and contraction of the glue and joint.
The kettle does work well for warped joints. Heat the limb (either in the steam coming from the kettle or in the boiled water), straighten it to desired position, then either dip in ice water until it hardens, or run it under cold cold water (be careful with this as it may affect paint as it did on my Starfire).
EDIT: Just did the same thing with my replacement Ares. I've been through 2: the first had a mis-assembled knee; the second had fused hips and it is in pieces now as the kettle trick didn't work on it's own. I did the kettle (to fix his warped lower legs and to cut the skirt) followed by the freezer (to free up the hips), and Ares is standing proudly on my shelf. Quote:

At least we're seeing this wave finally. | Thanks for the heads up! For some reason, I'm actually fairly confident in my chances of finding the rest of wave 10. I only have Power Girl so far, but that's for monetary reasons only, as I found, and passed on, Robotman, Forager and Beast Boy last week. I think waves 9 and 10 will both hit stores in full in the next couple of weeks leading up to Christmas. |
