the old one is 1/72 scale and has diecast in it... This is the new 1/60 version that goes along with the 1/60 scale YF-19 that came out last year...

basically its bigger, more accurate, probably more ABS plastic than diecast, but perfect transformation and all around sleek and sexy... =]

Yeah, that looks awesome. It is a little weird that the commercial has 1994 and 2002 datestamps in it, though.

EDIT: Also, I love any Yamato 1/60th Macross that doesn't involve another repaint of the VF-1 with a different number of laser on its head.
