WOH! MG Sazabi!! I love those stands! where did you get them? Too bad they are not in clear plastic. Thanks for the fishtank comments. The fish and shrimp love to hang around the mighty Zgok. I need to get another HGUC underwater MS to put in there. iDD
They're Bandai's new "Action Bases". Any online shop that carries Gundam models will probably have them. Originally, the stand was only offered as a limited-edition incentive with the 1/100 Legend Gundam, molded in translucent pearl-white. Now they're available individually in black (or very dark grey, anyways). The MG Strike Freedom Full Burst edition also has one as a limited-edition incentive, this time in translucent dark blue.
yup, indeed it is and a real beauty at that! I strongly recommend it too! By the way, GREAT pictures guys! Let's keep this thread going!
what's the retail price on those bases? and do they hold more then just gundams? can they hold lets say, transformers?
I retail the stands for $7.99 CAD. They are going to do black, white and grey but I believe only the black one is available now. I am sure they are about $5.99 or $6.99 in us funds, I just have not been able to get the Gundam section of my site all up and running. I am still about 200 kits behind in getting them posted and the stands seem almost trivial to add right now. I will get on it. I was able to bring in the Strike + IWSP in to work today for display. Took a few images before putting it out. I really like this one. No paint on this one, just the decals and pannel lines. Spencer.
Potentially. The stands work by cupping the figure's crotch, with U-shaped holders that slip around the hip joints. If you have a figure with hips that fit on the clip, then it'll work.
Depends which ones. Classics Seekers, for instance, should work alright because there's a decent clearance between their thighs and their crotches that'll allow the clips to slip in. Toys with hip designs like Jetfire or Astrotrain definitely won't work that way, though, but you might find some other point on the toy that the stand can hook into, maybe.
I noticed that too... Thanks a lot guys! I think you may have started yet another addiction for me. I just bought the MG Wing Zero Custom... and i have a feeling he won't be the last. Damn you all.
Mine probably would have joined your ranks as well, if nobody locally wanted him. But I was fiddling around with him one night, and then all of a sudden I had a brainstorm for how to go about making his armor, so now I'm keeping him.

<--- still need magnus and skywarp... I'm preparing to painting details on a couple of my MG mobile suits again. Done a lot of pilots already too. iDD......... oh, and the Crossbone gundam is soo tiny!
Minus the wings, Wing Zero/Wing ver. Ka is even smaller. Or, well, it's a more slender design. For whatever reason, they decided to downsize the mobile suits slightly in F91, to a 16-meter average head height, down from 18 meters. They carried that standard through to the following AU series, G Gundam, Gundam Wing, and Gundam X. SEED marked the turning point where 18-meter suits became the norm again.
