That's a straight out of box build? That looks quite good. In a way, I kinda regret painting some of my model kits as I have to be very careful in handling them.

At the very least, I'm going to spray can the inner frame...so there's more fraction on the joints - make them tighter.

Same. Generally, i do chest, waist, backpack, legs, arms, heads, weapons. In that order, occasionally doing the head earlier depending on how complex it is/chances of it getting damaged from putting the limbs on.

I tend to leave the head for last. Makes the build up more entertaining.

Meanwhile, I'll paint the bow later.

Thanks, other than the panel lining, yes, one of the reasons I love MGs is that they don't need to be painted to look good, and painting them just makes them look that much better!

    Yay I'm not alone :D

I do the stand and center of mass first, then arms and legs, then the backpack and weapons/accessories...

Unless there's a super cool weapon or accessory, then I do that first, like astrays sword, or the beam mantles on rinascita

I think I'm calling it quits with my shoddy attempt at doing a custom.

Three painstaking weeks and this is all I've got done. So many blemishes and mistakes that I can't fix and I already would have to make another trip to get more paint and primer.

    Gorgeous!

So I watched Build Fighters a few weeks ago and I LOVED IT! It was more or less a lot of what I absolutely loved about G Gundam mixed with the culture and fandom of Gunpla.

So I wanted to do my own custom Gunpla Battle thing...and I decided to use my favorite mobile suit as the base, the MSM-08 Zogok.

This is just a test fit of a part I'm going to kitbash with it. In the end it will be a customized and fully painted build. I'm going to do a bit of work with this weapon arm and I've got something planned for the other arm as well. I'm sticking with the close combat theme of the Zogok and it's weapons will reflect that.

    So I introduce to you:

    MSMX-08-BFC VIOLENCE Zogok!!

I'm liking the death claw. What color scheme are you planning to use?

Ah, the ol' spiral crusher on a claw suit lol Any plans to remove the handle area sticking out on the shoulder? Or cover it up?

The handle and that bracket are coming off. I'm debating whether I want to put a Zeon shoulder pauldron on it or keep it bare ala Imperator Furiosa from Mad Max: Fury Road.

What's great is that if you remove the spiral crusher unit from it, you can actually mount the dynamic chainsaw onto it if you want an overly large, unwieldy looking chainsaw arm.

He's like the ASH of my Gunpla collection because all of the Koto Weapons are interchangeable at the elbow.

So just curious. I built a RG Zaku II a week ago and it actually had parts on the sprue broken in transit. They were broken already int he plastic bags. I actaully managed to fix it as the solution was pretty simple, but I was curious if there's any recourse I have with Bandai? Is there any way to get replacement parts or sprues from them in cases like this in America, or am I SOL?

I'm trying to resist getting that HG bear...the way it can change arms is insanely cool!

By the way, can anyone tell me if the MG Rx-78-2 (The Origin) is manga accurate? I'm curious because it looks different from the Metal Composite version.

I've recently found Ebay to be a good place for some replacement parts. One dealer in particular: finetoolkits finetoolkits on eBay sells Real Grade parts.

I stopped by Gundam Planet yesterday to see if they had any IBO stuff left. Sold out. Still left with $100 worth of HGs. Stupid sexy Gunpla.

Last major Gunpla order of the year, all High Grade 1/144s of course:

    - Super Fumina
    - ReZel Defenser-B Type C
    - Crossbone XM-X1 Full Cloth GBFT color (like a normal color version exists :lol )
    - Action Base 2 x1

Coupled with my delayed detailing projects for the Physalis and Age Razor, I should be suitably stocked with model projects for the rest of the year since the red detailing on the Full Cloth's cloak armor looks to be an absolute bear.

EDIT: Finally bothered to check reviews for the Super Fumina and holy crap Bandai what the hell. No pink parts but pink stickers on curved surfaces galore? And those eyes needing border stickers for the eye lines and eyebrows...seriously? I'll forgive the eyebrows but the black lines around the eyes shouldn't have been necessary to make stickers instead of solid parts - you do this with the red sides of Gundam eyes all the time!
