I'm totally in love with this new RX-78. I like the new swiveling post for the legs. It makes better sense than the rotating plate they built into the Nu Gundam Ver Ka because it doesn't affect the natural rotation.

Got to wonder if we'll see them reissue the Version 3.0's add-on kit for the LED unit, unless they go with a stand alone "yellow" diode.

If it was rocket smoke they were going for, then they should have done it as per the MG Gyan and Acguy, then. This doesn't really look like anything so much as a shiv made of gelatin.

Only thing i dislike about the new RX is the knees. They just kind of flop off. I feel that its probably like that for some upgrade parts in the future. AKA space equipment.

Hmm yeah don't know why they couldn't split the knees on the RX 78-2. It seems very odd to have so much just hanging off when the knee if fully bent. The effect parts remind me of yellow rock candy or something. And I still font know how I feel about the shoulder mounted cannon. But everything else looks aces.

Nice. Are the legs hollow like the old kits or properly filled in?

Double post, but got in the The Origin HG Mobile worker. Disappointed by change in color. Went from red to orange. If they were trying to go for a safety orange, I think yellow would have been a better choice in color. Also received the Cathedral Gundam as well and was surprised it came with a tiny stand. Wish more kits came with stands like this one.

That's an extra incentive to wait for the blue version.

Thanks for posting pictures! This is the first time that I notice the 'yellow' panel (right side shoulder - that has guns) is now blue!

I originally wanted to paint in in blue as I personally didn't like the 'yellow' - it looks weird to me as it breaks up the chest colour.

Getting back into building and curious about the custom scene.

What are people usually going for with their alterations? Just a paint scheme? Part swapping? A lot of the "detailed" kits I've been seeing look like the goal is just to scribe any flat plane with as many lines as you can and I wondered if that was the popular aesthetic when it came to custom Gunpla.

I know, I saw that too. Kinda interested, maybe I'll have to wait till I see a physical prototype.

Pretty much anything you want to do. I've seen all kinds of customs. From painting to kit bashing and everything in between. Haven't seen too many work where scribing was the main technique but I would like to see some. I think the Unicorn would be a good place to start as it has a lot of undetailed armor pieces with some hard edges and flat surfaces. Or any of the earlier Federation suits that have flat surfaces if you need it to be flat.

Not really a customizer myself, but from what I have seen, it really is open to just about anything.

I'm curious and excited. I have a feeling that we won't see this MS and the Gouf in RG format after all...so I guess its a good think I decided to stick to the MG format.

I'm puzzled why the movie compilations removed McQuve (spelling?). IMO he was so villainous in the original series. Example, denied Rambal Ral of reinforcements, 'cheating' against Amuro etc.

    o

    Can't see your pictures, dude.

If it makes you feel any better, It's not just you, anyone directly linking an image from Google photos image has not shown up in browser as early as an hour after posting, it's really weird

The photos show up for a little bit and then they disappear

Anyway, I imagine those of you with the alt color scheme on the way won't be dissatisfied, as I've quite enjoyed the stock mg rinascita :)

And yeah I build out of order, so sue me

I love the MG Rinascita, hopefully my Alba will be in hand soon (I can't track it since GGInf didn't appear to migrate account credentials/details to their new site layout...)
