The Hi Nu comes with a stand for the main toy and even for the fin funnels too. Everything you saw at dalong.net is included in the kit. I get what you mean about using the stand to help the kit. If you do eventually get this kit, build him carefully and don't rush through. I made a mistake of underestimating this kit as I had just completed building an earlier MG kit less than a day before getting the Hi Nu. Make sure all the joints are not only tightly attached but in the right space/holes, especially when some of the plastic bits can be pretty small.
Finally completed my Hi Nu (without decals + stand not completed) and here are the pictures: With standard rifle and shield with double-bladed light saber without weapons without fin funnels without fin funneld + hyper bazooka Fin Funnel gimmick
I dont have too many large Gundams because Im practically in the same boat. There's so many and they all look so badass, and it's hard to choose May just get 1 perfect grade, or one of the larger more articulated ones. That metallic green Zaku II is also tempting me. My favorite so far (that I have) is the metallic gold Hyaku-Shiki
The 1/144 HGUC (High Grade Universal Century) kits are excellent as well, lightyears ahead of previous HG kits in terms of engineering. The TR-5 Hrairoo Gaplant is greasy sweet, and "transformable" (read: rip it apart and reassemble it into a strange broken backed version of itself with pointing toes). Any of those would be enthusiastically recommended if you find them for a good price or if you have limits on space.
^Confirmed on the Gaplant Hrairoo. Don't drink Coke before you work on it, though. For an HGUC it is a complicated little sucker.
Don't bother with any of the MG Zakus yet. Bandai's putting out a Zaku II ver. 2.0 soon, with much increased poseability and internal frame construction.
No kidding. It had about as many pieces as my original MG Gundam MK II did, and it's nearly half the size. Great way to eat away hours though.
Another shot of the Zaku 2.0. So, it does have a commander's fin, but it's still showing the ground-type armaments. I wants my space Zaku.
Wow. Liger, that Hi Nu is looking great! I have a question... The only Gundam I've ever really loved (design-wise) is the Wing Zero Custom. Is this model the same one featured here? I know it's sold out on BBTS, but if it is the same, at least i'll know what the packaging looks like to track one down...
Boo - thanks for the comments...but I actually give all credit to Bandai...all the kit needed was jusy panel lines! And to double confirm mx-01 archon's reply. The great thing about www.dalong.net is its vast photo gallery. If you click on "information" on the top of the gallery of the Wing Zero, you would see its box pictures. Chaos - you're right...the are too many good looking Gundam model kits that's why I use dalong.net as tge scores given are pretty reflective of what I feel about a MG kit. And the best thing about the site? It shows the MG kit in all its unpainted glory. The bad part about the site? It has no English translation. Phy - thanks for posting links on that Zaku II version 2! I pre-ordered 3 sets! So I can form an immediate squad! LOL!
