I have been thinking about picking one up for some time now to add to my Voltron Collection. Here is a pic of some of my Voltron, with my favorite one being the one on the far right. http://img248.imageshack.us/my.php?image=1012167zm8.jpg Check out all my Customs by clicking my Signature below |

The MP Voltron is pretty good. I have the first release, where the limbs fall off sometimes. I hope they fixed that problem. Dinobots, Destroy Devestator!

He does look impressive when combined, but I thought there were a lot of missed opportunities with the individual lions. I felt there should have been more joints in the legs, head articulation, and most of all, additional mold and paint details. I wouldn't have even minded if they'd muted the blaring primary color scheme a bit, but I know the Voltron purists would have cried fowl on that.
There's certainly a million miles between G1 Prime and Masterpiece Convoy. In this case, I felt like I was almost holding the same Voltron toy I had as a kid. For figures that don't even have a third mode to factor into the engineering, I felt a lot more could have been done.
But is this the best, most definitive Voltron toy? Absolutely. |
