Hi, first and foremost, I'm new here and whatnot so excuse any mistakes... I'll try to avoid making any but I make no promises.

I used to collect a lot of TFs... for about two years, I bought a ton of TFs. Most of it was newer stuff (RiD, Armada) which isn't the best stuff but it was hard and expensive to find my favorite G1s and Beast Wars toys so I looked elsewhere. I still love my small G1 and BW collection and some of the RiD toys, but Armada pretty much left my my interest in TFs on life support and Energon pulled the plug. I'm still a fan and just purchased 20th Anniversary OP today. I plan to get the SoundWave reissue to... if I can find one (stupid Toys R Us screw up my preorder).

Anyway, as soon as Energon started I decided I had enough and boxed up (in big brown storage boxes) my collection and stuck it in my closet. I bought a few here and there since then but most of it I have no interest in displaying/playing with. I figure that maybe these will be worth something in a year or two. I take good care of my stuff but my other collection (video games) is starting to require more space. So, I've decided that if I remove some of the items for the storage boxes (not the toy's packing) that I could save a ton of space.

So, what I wanted to know from you guys are which of my stuff is worth keeping nice and safe for potential future value and which ones can I be a bit more reckless with. Or if you guys have better storage advice, I'd love to hear it.

Here's my collection in a MS Excel form (right click and save as):

    Hey dude,

First off, welcome to TFW! And don't worry about mistakes, they're bound to happen and we all make them.

Anyway, I took a look at your collection list, and I would keep everything nice! I keep things mostly sealed myself, and even the things that get opened are handled carefully. I guess I would be most careful with those items that are more costly to replace (Alt. Nem. Prime and G1 stuff). Most anything will increase in value over time, but the more rare the item, the more quickly it will accrue value.

As for your storage methods, as long as the boxes are kept in a relatively constant climate controlled environment with little fluctuation (normal room temp, low humidity) you shouldn't have much trouble. I also try to make sure that they aren't pressing down on one another or making direct contact with one another, ziploc bags seem to do a decent job of minimizing scratches from adjacent TFs.

Hope some of this info helps!
