Anybody remember a toy line from the 90s where you had a figure of a dude who kinda looked like Ultraman, and he had this mecha armor stuff that could come off and turn into a seperate mecha thing. I don't remember the one I had, but there was a Dragon Armor one that I really wanted when I was young. I could have sworn it was called Cyber Samurai, but Googling didn't get me anything on it.

It was Super Human Samurai Cyber Squad. The Ultraman like guy was Servo. The dragon armor was called Drago, and there was another mech that became armor that looked very simular to Optimus Prime(God Ginrai specifically) who was called Xenon.

It was definitely Superhuman Samurai Cyber Squad. I loved the Power Ranger mechs at the time, so I got Servo, Draco and Xenon as well. Pretty fun toys, but the show was as entertaining as watching a dog take a dump. Actually, the dog's dump was probably more intelligent to watch than the TV show.

No, it was definitely Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad. It was also known as Gridman in Japan, and was made by Tsuburaya Productions, creator of Ultraman. So there was a reason for the similarity, heh.

Blah, how dare other people respond to this first...

Depends on the dog. Depends on the dump.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but DAMN, I wish I could find the SSSQ "megazord" type toy. It had a red head with a gold crest, and the arms were black with silver mining drills on the shoulders.

Anyone know what that toy was called?

For the US name. It was made from two toys: Xenon and Servo. Xenon on his own combined into a robot simular in apperance to Optimus Prime or God Ginrai. Xenon became armor for sevo and then when the armor was placed on Sevo it looked the way you describe.

I remember I had the Standard version of Servo and Drago. Servo's articulation was only in the ankle and arms. Man did I love that toy.

It's hard to find them but once you do, they're dirt cheap. I got MIB versions of Drago and Xenon for like, 10 bucks each. Shipped.
