Did you but 0, some, or all? Just the first wave. I bought them all, and I regret it. How about you?

Yep and even bought the naboo royal starship? I think was it's name ,regret it? yes very much so as I didn't care for the movie and the resell value on the toys were laughable. I wasn't scalping or trying to make money selling toys my car broke down and had to sell all my collections in 04 Star Wars,TF RID,and every thing Resident Evil/bioHazard made by Moby Dick,Palisades and toybiz...... I miss the Resident Evil collection still to this day

Bought them all. Even imported some of the oddball toys like the mysterious 2" versions of the first wave, including a down-sized Naboo N1 Starfighter. I don't display them anymore (aside from an original Jar Jar that I bought on release day and have kept in my various vehicles ever since like some kind of twisted Saint Christopher), but I had my fun with them so no regrets here.

Bought a few -- whoever was in the first action figure wave, then saw the movie, and stopped collecting Star Wars figures altogether.

I still have those figures MOC in a box in the garage.

Yes. Oh god yes did I. Not a completionist, but between that and the 90s PoTF, there's a bunch of plastic that's gonna just sit and sit and sit and noone's ever gonna want it.

Couldn't this easily have been part of the Star Wars thread?

You're lying, there are recent figures in your collection. It's even in the thread your signature links to.

Thanks for posting that I could not figure out the name of the other Star Wars line I was collecting at the time!!! I think I had about 100+ Power of the Force Figures I got maybe 2$ each for POTF and 1$ each for the Phantom menace toys ,if it hadn't been for all the Resident evil toys and the Ehobby Ghost of Starscream and the black/smokey Starscream and my G1 Prime I never would have been able to get a new motor for the TA I had at the time.......and 8 months later I totaled the car!!! :D  what a waste of toys ,money and a car!!

Now I'm no longer here just here to correct people, I remembered something. A LEGO set of Anakin's ship he used the race, there were some really unique pieces in there at the time. I gave it away in a vast bin now with all of my other LEGO stuff.

Now I wish I didn't hastily answer that poll.

That's not true man. Kids still love the stuff. Most of it is better than what they have on the shelves right now.

All that Phantom Menace stuff I bought at the time and put away for my kids. They have opened all the Star Wars stuff by now and have some epic battles. Actually I kept some of the more obscure characters like Wattoo and the Trade federation guys since they look pretty decent, won't be that fun to play with anyway, and I certainly don't want to spend money on an updated version of them... LOL.

man is it in fashion now to bash the prequels or what? Anyone who starts talking about how the prequels ruined everything, I have one word for you... EWOKS. Nuff said.

I never bought any back in the day, but I had fun picking carded figures at flea markets last year. Can't really go wrong getting figures for $2-$3 in this day and age of inflated prices.

My point was that I was collecting prior to the Phantom Menace -- I have most of the POTF2 single carded figures, and then I bought the first wave of the PM figures, saw the movie, and decided to stop collecting. I didn't start collecting Star Wars figures again, until the 6-inch Black Series figures came out. So, I was collecting from '95 until sometime in 2000, when I stopped, and didn't start collecting again until 2014...

You need to watch yourself -- there are ways to question people without calling them liars.

Oh yeah I did, mostly I got pod racing related stuff.

I was one of the kids that loved Phantom Menace at the time but grew up to not love it.

I think the point here is that we may be reliving TPM with TFA. I certainly hope not but we'll see. I see you are a new poster. Might want to settle down a bit. It's a long journey.

I bought a few figures (Astromechs, Jedis, and Maul), LOTS of Battle Droids, Micro Machines regular and Titanium, I even bought the Comm Tech chip reader.

Years later, I even bought the Comm Tech chip lots off ebay. They make great figure stands.
