lol..a 1/48th YF-19 would be HUGE. They're bigger than VF-1s as it is.

As opposed to Taktomy which refine their toys to near perfection, then slap some weird ass colors on them and sell the anime accurate one to their exclusive club.

Man alive, I love this. I'm so into the VF-1 series, but I can't afford more than a few here and there. But this one is so very different, yet still definitely a Valkyrie. It's going on the "to buy" list along with whatever happens to make the VF-0 a "J" type. Though I may end up settling for an A type on that model, as it just looks so beefy I don't want to miss it altogether.

As opposed to the 19, which just looks sleek and stylish. What I really need though, is more money.

I don't like Valks at all, but I may buy that. It's so different than the usual ones that all look alike to me.

This bad boy went up for pre-order on BBTS today. And I pre-ordered it so fast I made their web server crash.

OK, not really. But I pre-ordered it pretty fast.

This one is indeed an amazing looking figure and I can't wait for it to come out myself. Being in 1:60 scale, this is going to be just as big as the VF-0S was I would gather. Of course this should mean an 11 and a 21 should be done as well. I have the smaller ones but alas, they are broken. I sure hope these ones are indeed a little sturdier than the smaller ones.

I am very happy with with what Yamatto is doing with the line. Too bad it is so hard on the pocketbook. This one is no acception with a $200 price tag on it. $40 more than the VF-1 series. Ouch!

    Spencer.

Yeah, that price got me for a moment, then I realized, this is probably going to be even bigger than the VF-0 series. Not by a lot, but by a little. And the transformation is even more complicated and involves more small pieces.

I'm really looking forward to setting up a display involving my VF-1 series 1/60ths (of which I have. . .well, probably too many) a VF-0 or two, and this YF-19. I do hope we get an 11 and a 21 fast-pack in the 1/60th scale to go along with them. A fire valk would pretty much rock. And a stealth? Maybe too much to ask.

But they can go ahead and release them slowly. Not like they are planning for the VF-1 1/48 series this fall. September sees, what, three different models released/re-released, plus the stealth fast-packs? No way I could afford that all at once.

Right now I'm kicking myself for spending too much last month and not being able to afford a second YF-19 by November. And probably not while stock lasts if I keep up with my other spending trends. Ah well. There's always the next round to come.

We all know Yamato will milk that VF-1 mold. But I have a feeling that with a bit of tooling (slight upgrades that were on the VF-0) we'll eventually see the two seaters (VE-1, VT-1, and VF-1D).

I caved and now I'm going to buy this mutha when it comes out, this is significant because I had only been planning to buy one high end toy this year in the form of Bandai's SOC Gunbuster.

Now I have to scrimp and save to get this as well...

btw, HLJ has awesome pictures and news of an accessory set for release next year that will include the Fast Packs, fold booster and some other stuff that hasn't been clarified yet.

No kidding? Where? I'm digging around on their site, but can't come up with it.

Man, even without seeing the pictures that just ramps up my excitement levels even higher for this release. Or were the pictures just the ones on their order page for the 19 itself? If so, those pictures are just a few posts back up in the thread.

I'm still trying to figure out why those pictures all say 1994 Big West on them. I'd think they'd want to update that year sometime soonish.
