Sure wish I was the one who found it, hah. In other news, we're getting a restock on amiibos at work from Nintendo and oddly, there are no mentions of Villager, Wii Fit trainer or Marth whatsoever. I wonder what's up with that. Hopefully it's not what Nintendo meant when they said some lesser known characters would see smaller production runs. Seems way too early. But then, we also got a notice that Nintendo apparently stopped production on the Wii U Gamecube controller adapter (in Canada, at least). WTF, really. That thing came out on Nov. 21st! Not to mention stores stocked up on GC controllers and now they won't have the adapter necessary to use them available?! Sounds hell of lame. Oh well, time will tell I guess.

Follow up on my previous post.. Some Amiibo figures getting discontunued? "The rumour is spreading that the Villager, Marth and Wii Fit Trainer amiibo figures have been discontinued; in other words, if true this means that once current stock is sold no more will be supplied to retailers. This isn't officially confirmed, of course, but some gamers have apparently been told, by stores such as EB Games, that Marth is discontinued and has been removed from their systems." Get these lesser known characters while you can, people.
Can't find those three anywhere now. Maybe should have gotten WFT at Best Buy when I had the chance. In any case, not taking any chances with wave 2. Capt. Falcon, Zelda and Pit are the ones I'll be getting first
Soooo few of them were made relatively. That is startlingly quick to discontinue them. Really was hoping I'd get lucky and find a Villager today but of course had no such luck... Damn, man. I don't get how Nintendo would think just a single release would be a good thing to do.
They should have at least had them in production for a whole month. It's really unfair when a few stores just get about 5 or so as part of the whole stock of a single character.
It is unfair. Hopefully they'll do another production run at some point. As for the upcoming six new figures, I have been told that both Diddy Kong and Little Mac will be produced in fewer numbers. In fact, my store was allocated only Zeldas and not one Diddy or Mac. And I've yet to hear what will happen to Falcon, Pit and whoever else is in that wave.
Update from Nintendo regarding Amiibo availability Doesn't change much, but it's good to at least hear from Nintendo on this. Fact remains; get the ones you like/want early on. What I hate is that I was waiting on sales to pick up the rest of the first wave. The only deal I've seen so far is Target (Canada) who is offering a free Amiibo with the purchase of Super Smash or Capn Toad. We need more sales on these! (Even though they seem to be selling well enough).
Has anyone managed to grab any of the new 6 figures that got released this week? I can't seem to find a Little Mac anywhere dammit.
Not sure who the knew ones are, but I got Zelda today at TRU. There was also Peach and a short supply of Fox McCloud. Diddy Kong was sold out. Everything else seemed to have been from the previous wave. Target had Diddy and Zelda. They were sold out of Pit, Fox, Mac, Captain Falcon, and Luigi. Target's supply is crap compared to TRU. They have like half the amount of pegs as TRU and each peg only holds like 2 amiibos.
I got lucky and found a Little Mac at Target last night. Here's hoping that Luigi and Falcon aren't too far behind. I want those two next.
Wave 2 is officially out tomorrow, any details on where the early hits are? I have all of wave 1, need to get 2 fast so I don't miss any with this whole discontinuing them quickly shiz floating around. (even if just gamestop and just the rarest 3 wave 1's have been mentioned)
Were you able to pick up Little Mack, Diddy and Zelda? They seemed plentiful around here yesterday at both TRU and Target.
I've been trying to call 3 different Best Buys to see if I can preorder Meta Knight. But they all don't answer the phone.
If anyone can hook me up with Little Mac and/or Pit, let me know! I'd be forever grateful! Yeah, the new figures releasing are Zelda, Diddy, Little Mac, Falcon, Luigi and Pit. Hopefully they are plentiful everywhere!
