I've gotten a few PMs, eBay messages and emails asking me about how I went about my parts-forming to give Warpath his chest cannon. Well, here it is.

In the chest: Take a flat headed pin (I have a ton of them from old bashes from tires I've removed. You can also cut off a small finishing nail as well. ) and a soldering iron. Make a teeny-tiny hole (that's the technical term, folks) with the soldering iron. Place the pin in the hole with the flat had facing you. Push the iron against the pin, until it heats up and pushes into the plastic.

This gives you A point of connection for the magnet in the tank barrel without having to drill into the plastic in such a small space to put a magnet there. be sure to trim off any excess burned plastic and sand the area down to that the pin blends with the surface area. Step one complete.

Take the the tank barrel (I'm using a barrel from a TFTM Leader Brawl junker) and using a dremel drill out a hole large enough to fit a magnet. I use the Super magnets you can find in Micheal's crafts stores (6 for $2.99). Use super glue/epoxy to put it in place.

    Step 2, complete!

The final step is to add a magnet to the rear of his crotch area (or his robot boo-tay as I like to call it) so that the barrel will stay in place in Alt mode. There are a a lot of way to do this. A small rare earth magnet would fit right in the screw hole with a little work. I decided to stay with the super magnets. I used a arm cuff from a Gundam kit and drilled a hole for the magnet. Then glue/epoxy the cuff right in place.

There you go! Your parts forming Warpath. Pow!!! If you have any question, shoot!

I'm sorry, what was that technical term? A "teeny-tiny hole"? Never heard of it.

This is slightly off topic, but how do you remove flat headed pins?

Very nice tutorial as well, I've done something similar to this, but not nearly as clean on my leader prime for the blades.

Yes! A lot of people aren't familiar with the technical jargon! Respect my gangsta!!

Yep, TFTM Longarm donated the head.

You can remove flat head pins with the same soldering iron. have a look at the tutorials here at TFW.

Anyone know if someone's thought to make cast of Longarm's head - I'm sure there are plenty of customizers who'd want to pick up a couple, especially for this custom!
(By the way, great tutorial - thanks for the effort!)
(Radicons needs more tutorials like this one!)
