Croc victim gets arm back - World - smh.com.au If a picture is worth a thousand words, I probably uttered a thousand expletives looking at that photo. Not the sort of thing you see outside of the movies. Moral of the story: Crocodiles want to eat you. Stay away! Stay away!
Wow! Given the mess the end of that arm looked to have been in, I'm surprised they were able to reattach. Dude got lucky, considering.
...and this is a guy who knows what he's doing. Living in Florida can be fun, as every couple of years we get a news story about some kid being eaten by an alligator. Then they show an interview with the parents, who say things like, "Well, we always treated the gator as a pet, feedin' him leftovers and whatnot. Kids thought he was kinda cute, acshully. Well, it ain't so cute anymore..."
I didn't get it at first, then I read: ...and then I proceeded to giggle for 5 minutes. Little did the zookeeper know that playing "got your nose" the previous day would result in the followup game "got your arm" the next day.
I guess due to the lack of sensation in the re-attached arm, he can now pretend it's someone else without having to sit on it for half an hour.
thats insane...and really really old apparently...but still, that picture is just beautiful...its so creepy and peaceful at the same time...
I'm doubting the validity of the pic. The end of the arm where it was detached is inconsistent with the shape of the croc's mouth. IF the croc grabbed and ripped, there would be teeth marks in it.
