So FT's version is quite a bit broader? I wonder what the back kibble situation is going to be.

You see even FansToys has early testshots of their Aerialbots, whereas Zeta hasn't even released Blitzkrieg yet for their Combaticons, you really think Zeta will have all 5 Aerialbots out before FansToys releases theirs?,but I will concede maybe Zeta will have all 5 of theirs released maybe before FansToys but I am sure they will have atleast 2 out before Zeta finishes theirs.

You know Hoodlum had test shots out for years, right? You know who's still not out? Hoodlum.

You know what else has test shots, in later stages than any of FT's Aerialbots? The rest of Zeta's Aerialbots.

And Blitzkrieg's been out for a few weeks now. So Bruticus isn't holding up the line anymore.

Now, let's take a minute and be realistic. 3Ps always think stuff is gonna be done way sooner than it actually takes. Do I think Zeta us really going to finish Superior this year? Probably not. But Silverbolt is looking pretty far along. I do think we'll see him by the end of the year. But remember that Zeta has been releasing the limb bots in pairs, and that the last two Aerialbots are likely to share a lot of engineering with the first two. I'm skeptical that they'll make it this year, but I do expect the last two to hit at the same time early 2019.

Meanwhile, FT's track record has been to reveal everything super early, especially if someone else is doing the character. Actual literal years go by between reveal and release. My guess is that Quietus, Hydra, and maybe Phoenix X will be out before the end of the year. Who knows what the order is after that? We've got a ton more announced products from them.

So yeah, I really think Zeta is going to have all their Aerialbots out before FT gets even one out. I'm saying, conservatively, that they'll almost certainly be done by Q1 2019. If FT's first Aerialbot were next after Quietus and Hydra, which is almost certainly not the case, you might get one in that time period. But depending on how many figures are actually between Quietus/Hydra and an Aerialbot you could just as easily not see any FT Aerialbots at all in 2019.

    Zeta haven't released Blitzkrieg yet?

You sure? UK retailers got theirs in weeks ago and US sellers seemingly took the cheaper/longer sea option so are still awaiting stock. You're basing your opinion on incorrect facts and ignoring Fanstoys ridiculously slow release schedule.

What's also worth noticing is that all but 2 of those shots above of FT version are renders. At the very most Air Raid is a proto but I'm not 100% sure about one of the Silverbolt pics. History dictates if that's the case those guys are a looooong way off. But that's what Fanstoys do, it's like a bad joke. Renders to piss against the proverbial lamp post then sit back and concentrate on the other 16 figures they've got in development.

FT really f'd up the droop snoot on Silverbolt.

The part of the snoot that droops should reach all the way to the cockpit and take the front visor with it like on Silver Arrow.

Of course, the visor should retract into the snoot too,

but I'll take 50% inaccurate over 100% inaccurate. Another reason to go with Zeta.

Pretty much same size, mp11 mould left of Air Raid, Maketoys right:

Mine obviously don't have stock heads either so would be a touch taller.

Thanks! Yeah I was just hoping to be sure the Zeta figures would be the same size as the Seekers at least, LOL! Which heads do you have? Shapeways?

Yeah Shapeways oversized TFC set. They are more my cuppa tea aesthetically but just a bit too small. I'll replace with Zeta's cartoon heads eventually.

Edit - they look about the same size as Maketoys seeker heads so depends what your thoughts are there. Personally I'd wait to see what Zeta do first. In the perfect world if the guy that did the Shapeways set could upsize his design a bit itd be spot on.

I can only speak for myself, but I think the faceplate thing is more about having options than not liking the regular face. In the most recent pictures it actually looked quite good. I may change it up depending on my mood or how it actually looks in hand. It's generally a benefit to have the luxury of choice in these things.

Yes, it's totally wrong, as I ranted about months ago, but at least it doesn't "pinch in like a mosquito nose", which looks bad in BOTH positions. We have two nose choices, both overall bad, but each also extra-awful in their own way...

Considering how many zillions of toys and models of the Concorde have been made the past 40 years, from $2 toys to $1000 models, it's incredible that Zeta and FT seem to have simultaneously done "among the 2 worst-looking attempts at a Concorde nose ever".
