Think I'm slowly turning over to Zeta. That combined mode is gonna be insane.

Ok, for those that have vortex, does he really come with everything detached? If so, how do you put him back in box for storage once you install the propellers?

Was looking yesterday and the little hinge on my canopy/cockpit on takeoff is broken. Didn't snap off but there's a small piece of black plastic gone and it looks like maybe it broke at factory and maybe they got it past QC. Not sure if i should ask TPC for a replacement since he will be in arm mode pretty much for the rest of his life

He unfortunately does, the tail rotor snaps together and screws on, the main one you have to pin each blade in individually.
To get him back in the box you'd need to unpin them all and unscrew the tail rotor.

There is also the tail fin but that just slots in.

    BTW, SO MUCH KIBBLE!!!!!!!!!

That Sucks. I don't mind installing everything, but to take all pins out to get him back in box is a real pain in the ass. I wish they would just have made the box bigger. I hope he is the last one you need to do this for of all their toys. I do not have room to display all my figures at once and keep them in their boxes for protection. I just don't want to loose any pins etc.

    Thanks for the info though.

How are y'all installing the pins? Normally, i'd use a hammer, but the main rotor assembly looks like it would be hard to get leverage with, plus I really don't want to risk breaking anything.

Yeah, that's the ONLY reason I'm getting this set. The Constructor like combined mode is enough for me to get them.

I will wait until all members are out though, who knows, maybe a giftset is offered or TT shows their Bruticus by then? One can dream!

If u dont want to remove the pins don't install them. Use some black bread ties or something similar

The pins were really simple to install, I just used needle nose pliers and pinched them in. Worked like a champ.

I did the same, using an old sim card as a protector for the bottom of the rotor. 5/6 were fine, one i had to trim the hole due to some flash in it.

I actually used a small piece of plastic (i.e. a credit card) to get them in. If you have one, you could probably push them in with a thimble. Just as a tip, I found that the pin installation is way easier if you line up the holes with the blades perpendicular to the joint instead of straight out like a spoke. If it's not seating right, give it a little wiggle and it'll pop right in.

Zeta toys showed installing pins with handle end of screw driver. It should be an easy I stal, I just like it when I do not have to disassemble parts. Maybe they should have used a different attachment so you could friction apply them etc.
