that price really isn't so crazy if you add em all up. it was nearly that much about three quarters of the way through the list. i also count inflation and the like. i say go for it if you have the cheddar.

    ::EDIT::
nevermind me, i'm a retard. i was looking at the price in uk lbs thinking that it was u.s dollars. i'd let that one slip by man. that's more than a bit much.

I can't recall the exact value of each of the items in that lot, but have an approx idea.
(if someone feels i'm off the mark, please chime in)

    Prime $150 ish
    Megatron $100
    Soundwave $120
    Minibots $70
    Starscream $75
    Soundblaster $85
    Insecticons $65
    Blitzwing $50

The rest are less than $40

On that basis, it's at least $300 over the odds, and even tho it's comming a longway, the shipping costs seems very steep.

That lot has been on eBay for several months, if it were that good a deal someone would've taken it by now.

None of the TFC toys are that hard to get, it's just that some of them are a bit on the pricey side.

    I'd advise patience.

most minobot auctions i see go fairly close to a hundred. that's the only thing i didn't pretty much agree with on your list there.

Off of what I've seen ...

    00 Convoy $170 to $200 **
    01 Jazz $35
    02 Prowl $35
    03 Skids $35
    04 Tracks $35
    05 Smokescreen $35
    06 Megatron $150 **
    07 Sideswipe $40
    08 Inferno $20
    09 Starscream $80 **
    10 Soundwave $120 to $150 **
    11 Astrotrain $40
    12 Minibots $70 to $90 **
    13 TM Hot Rod $25
    14 Hound $35
    15 Stepper $20
    16 Insecticons $60 to $70 **
    17 Blitzwing $40 to $55
    18 Soundblaster $90 to $110 **
    19 Perceptor $45
    20 Kup & Wheelie $30

The ones marked with the "**" typically turn into eBay brawls. They can easily end up over estimate if you have the right people going after them.

yeah the minibots get crazy, i'm pretty broken about it too. i STILL need them years after release. i really like most of the characters in the set but $100 and up for six nearly minicon sized guys makes my stomach hurt.:(  i think that's the next thing i seriously hunt for online. just to bite the bullet and get it done with. then the insecticons...... yeah, apparently i'm a sadist.

Man, you guys need to get yourselves to a convention of some sort. I was at Wondercon in San Francisco a few months ago and I saw a lot of these sets for far less than I'm seeing here. I saw the Minibots for around $50 and I picked up the Insectiocns for $45 (the only ones I wanted and will ever want). Had I known anybody else really wanted them, I definitely would have picked them up. Ah, well......hindsight.....

Really? I was there on Friday right when it opened. I found a Soundwave #10 that was $40. I was so excited until I picked it up and saw that it was just the box plus buzzsaw. Kinda lame.

Dang...seeing posts like this makes me regret that I'm NOT a scalper! LOL!

Anyway, back to topic...I think the prices do reflect the current market prices...and I agree, shipping is steep!

    around $1,500 shipped.

    a rough estimate of $40 * 21 = $840

then tack on the figure premiums:
    +160 (00 Prime)
    +110 (06 Megatron)
    +40 (09 Starscream)
    +90 (10 Soundwave)
    +50 (12 Minibots)
    +25 (16 Insecticons)
    +10 (17 Blitzwing)
    +70 (18 Soundblaster)
    +10 (19 Perceptor)

$1395 for the figures only + shipping (insured) = roughy 1,500-ish shipped.

I love seeing how these reissues are finally starting to increase a little in value.
My suggestion on trying to backfill is to be selective. If you go for the whole bunch your wallet will hurt. Also, as far as Prime goes, try to see if you can work out a deal with Elvin if he's still selling his stuff.

Huh....I was only there Sat. and Sun. Perhaps the good stuff came out then. I also heard that I missed out on some guy (who I discovered during the last hour on the last day) had all the GF Rambles goung for $5 or something. Crazy! Everyone in the Bay Area: don't forget that there is an Oakland comic con comin up on May 20-21. Link: http://www.super-con.com/home.html
I got some nifty stuff there last year like the Powermaster Prime reissue set and the dude threw in a MISB Unicron he didn't want and it all cost the same price as Unicron on a store shelf. Gotta love conventions!!

I usually buy them when they just come out so the prices are relatively cheaper for the hot items...
