I usually stay away from zero feedback sellers, but there's this one guy selling something I've been looking for for a while now. Do any of you deal with these new sellers? And if so, do you have any suggestions on how one should go about it?
This is simple buddy, dont deal with new sellers because they dont have that much reputation. They are still not that reliable.
If I were going to spend a lot of money, I might stay away from a low feedback seller or perhaps not spend as much as I would with someone with bigger numbers, but doesn't eBay protect every transaction now days?
You boys are forgetting that EVERY SINGLE SELLER had to walk down that same path when they started out. No newbie turn up with 999 feedbacks, you know?
Thanks for the advice guys. I just bought the item. I mailed the guy prior to make sure he would provide a tracking number, and he confirmed so. Here's the listing in question: G1 Transformers TAKARA GO-BOTS MOSC - eBay (item 190458672196 end time Oct-20-10 21:52:51 PDT) These are the rare Takara versions with the paint apps on the hoods. I'll post a follow-up in here when I get them...
Here's some tips: Zero sellers from China have probably been previously banned Zero sellers selling something "in packaging" have probably been banned or started a new account because of low rep. If it ain't over 99 percent from China for feedback I ain't buying. I got scammed on a devastator years ago.
It depends on how bad you want them. I'm sure ebay will cover you, but you might have to deal with disputes.
I just sent him an email asking to cancel the transaction.. We'll see what he says to that... I have never not payed an item on ebay, but I'm thinking about it for this one.
The fact that you didn't post the link to the listing in your first post was because you were afraid of someone snatching it before you do right? Because posting the link would have saved you all this trouble....
Guilty. Searching over a year for these guys made me a lil paranoid... Thanks for pointing it out.. nice of you
I'm thinking you will save a lot of headaches! I was actually going to post his new ebay account here: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/transformers-ebay/217210-more-scams-ebay-14.html#post4924540 & http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/groups/afa-collectors-group.html I saw it was him when I looked at his AFA 80 Grimlock.
Thanks for keeping track of these guys.. I should of been more open about his ID in the first place...
I keep my grass cut so I can see the snakes coming! True, but least I was able to warn you before paying!
