It wouldn't mean much, except they are getting some major support from Namco, Capcom, EA, 3D Realms, Sega, and Vivendi. The games are meant to be super inexpensive. The console comes with 5 games built in.

    Built-In:
    Fifa 09
    Need for Speed Carbon
    Brain Challenge
    Prey Evil

    Free Download:
    Quake

    Downloadable Games:
    Quake 2
    Sonic Adventure
    Tekken 2
    Street Fighter Alpha
    Double Dragon
    Pac-Mania
    Ridge Racer
    Virtua Tennis
    Resident Evil 4
    Crash Bandicoot Racing
    Crazy Taxi
    Duke Nukem 3D
    Ultimate chess
    Extreme Sports
    Super Action Hero

That's a fucking impressive line up for a no-name console. I really want to see how good the graphics and animations are.

I know. Since all of these games are download only, what are the file sizes? I mean, the games really run the gamut from Quake 1 - Resident Evil 4. I am truly intrigued.

Sounds like a winner to me. Publishers get almost zero risk access to previously untouchable markets to make even more money from existing titles and poorer gamers finally get something other then Mega Drive clones to play.

It also needed about 12 less buttons. The thing was like a stubby 5200 controller on crack. I still have hand cramps thinking about that thing.

bah! it was basically a mega drive/genesis pad with a numpad slapped on its ass. still though, you could probably hold a 4 course meal on it.

I forgot how many great (and equally awful) controllers there have been. The Sega Saturn pad though, still my all time favorite.
