They get lucky. You might be able to upload older/less popular stuff like Armada or Energon without being noticed, but if I was you I wouldn't risk it.

Sorry to say this but yes. Luckly it's not as severe as the likes of Cartoon Network is with thier shows.

I find it hard to believe however that some TF show's get some copyright things going on and yet My Little Pony gets off the hook often. Not bashing MLP far from it but it got me wondering.

If it's not yours and you upload it, yes, you will get problems.

Even if you reverse the image, that won't stop anyone who stumbles across your upload from reporting you.

MLP episodes get regularly taken down, we don't get let off the hook any more than any other fandom.

Oh. Thanks for telling me. Still It's nice that the Hub isn't as strict on it as other studios like Cartoon Network,Nick,Disney, etc.

Uploading any copyrighted video runs the risk of getting penalized, but it seems only the current series are actively protected. Old cartoons that not many people watch are not completely safe, but they are less likely to be taken down.

Out of curiosity, why do you want to upload them? A lot of the older shows are already on Youtube, I think; seems unnecessary to take the risks for redundancy.

    Why wouldn't you?

    Do you own them? No.

Does someone else own them? Yes.

You don't need to go to 3 years of law school to figure out the legality of this.

I watched majority of Transformers series on YouTube last year. They have all been taken down since except for G1.

Yeah, he's my hero. If his channel got the shaft before I finished rewatching Beast Wars & Beast Machines, I'd probably go as far as complaining about it on the internet.

Same here. I watch RID on his channel all the time (I already have the other series' on DVD). It would be sweet if he added season 3 of Animated in HD. Beggers can't be choosers though I guess

Yeah, let alone... freeloading beggers like me hah

(however in my defense, my friend has all of this shit on DVD anyway, so it's not like I'm watching something I wouldn't otherwise be able to. Its just that this way, I don't need to watch it all in one sitting or hoard my buddy's stuff for an extended period of time)
