So, I just got through netflixing and watching The Rock and Live Free or Die Hard. These movies are awesome and I might even go out and buy the actual DVD for The Rock.

Anyway, I was wondering what your top action movies are, so I can put them in my netflix queue.

    Commando!

Seriously, if you haven't seen it you really need to. It set the bar for action flicks, and featured the highest kill count until last year's Rambo, I believe. It has everything, and it moves along at a perfect pace that never gets dull.

Also, Drive, Die Hards 1 and 4, T2, Rambo...you know, the classics.

The Action genre kind of envelopes a lot of movies to one degree or another, so I guess here is my best shot, even though some may seem more a comedy or adventure. (Not really in order)

    - Big Trouble in Little China
    - Aliens
    - Mortal Kombat
    - Terminater 2
    - Braveheart
    - Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
    - FF Advent Children (mock it all you want, it has some crazy battle choreography)
    - Hero
    - The Predator
    - Transformers ('86)

I also wanted to say that that one thing that makes this list difficult are first impressions. When I saw T2, I thought it was the best thing since anything. Now, I still like it but not quite like I did then. However, Aliens holds up well against the test of time. I also thought Independance Day was the best when I first saw it, but as you see, that doesn't even make the list now.

    In no particular order

Conan the Barbarian (Not Destroyer, but Destroyer is also fun)
    Equilibrium (Gun Fu!)
    Hard Boiled (John Woo)
    Highlander (Original 80's film)
    The Killer (John Woo)
Leon The Professional (Makes you feel like a paedophile though)
Mask of Zorro (First Banderas remake was really good actually)
The Mummy (Slipped in underneath Episode 1 that year)
    Pitch Black
Predator/The Running man/Total Recall (Arnie Classics)
Sahara (Totally underrated film last year)
    Waterworld (Again, ttally underrated)
    Batman: Mask of the Phantasm
Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker
    Drive (Mark Decascos)
    Fist of Legend (Jet Li)
Iron Monkey (Donnie Yen plus others)
Dragons Forever (Jackie Chan, Yuen Biao, Sammo Hung)
Wheels on Meals (Jackie Chan, Yuen Biao, Sammo Hung)

I've gone way over ten, and I've tried to mention those which haven't been mentioned much, (Commando, the Matrix, True Lies etc) but all these are pure win. Especially the last one.
