    BEST:
    1) Inglorious Basterds
    2) Star Trek
    3) Zombieland
    4) The Hang Over
    5) GI Joe Rise of Cobra

I really need to see Up, as it will most likely replace GI Joe up there, which I enjoyed immensily. TF2 isnt up there because...well I like most of it but it sure as hell ain't beating any of these movies, or Superman Batman Public Enemies for that matter.

WORST (Only saw 3 and 5, but I just know this)
    1) Twilight Sequel
    2) Transylmania
    3) District 9
    4) Street Fighter
    5) Dragonball Evolution

    Best
    Star Trek
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
    Transformers ROTF
    Night at the Museum
    Joe ROC

    Worst
    X-Men Origins: Wolverine
    New Moon
Avatar (Not out yet, but I am pretty sure I won't like it.)
    The Road
Saw (Whatever number came out this year.)

Terminator Salvation is one of those in-the-middle movies. I liked it overall, but the huge plot-hole kinda made it meh for me. Still one of the better movies, though.

I think I've seen maybe three movies at the theatre this year, so:

    Best

    1. Up
    2. Transformers: RotF
    3. Watchmen

    Worst

    1. Terminator: Salvation
    2. Inglourious Bastards - Didn't see it, but it's Tarantino, so I can just assume I would have hated it.

I might be going to see Avatar and Sherlock Holmes, so this list may change by the end of the month.

    EDIT - Forgot Watchmen.

No, but it is getting close to being the end of the year.

Only movie I've seen in theaters this whole year was ROTF, and I think it's the best movie of 2009.

It may be the best film that is, was or ever will be made and I still wouldn't watch it; I'm not wasting an additional 2+ hours of my life on another Tarantino film.

    ALRIGHT FINE

This list might be useful for people like me that forget about movies: 2009 in film - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Disclaimer: I haven't seen every movie made this year so obviously there might be some missing from my list.

    TOP FIVE

Adventureland - Although it was badly marketed as a wild teen comedy it's a great little post high school / becomming an adult movie.

Black Dynamite - Hilarious homage to the blaxploitation genre. Packed full of laughs and you can tell that the crew really loved what they were doing.

Funny People - Good cast, great stuff.

In the Loop - Awesome British comedy about the behind the scenes politics leading up to the invasion of Iraq.

Watchmen - A good adaption of the comic. When you consider the budget and marketing behind this it's a rare gutsy move by the studio and they should be commended.

Runner-ups: I Love You Man, Inglorious Bastards, Observe and Report, World's Greatest Dad.

    BOTTOM FIVE

Dragonball: Evolution - Utter shit. Some movies are so bad they're good. This is just so bad it's bad.

Gamer - Not even Dexter can save this crap. It tries to be an action movie with a message but it fails to deliver anything.

Law Abiding Citizen - Completely absurd, makes absolutely no sense and thinks it is waaaaaay smarter than it is.

Street Figther: The Legend of Chun-Li - Utter shit. Some movies are so bad they're good. This is just so bad it's bad.

Whip It - Terrible paint by numbers hyper-feminist cliche bullshit. Ellen Page in her underwear is almost enough to redeem it.

Runner-ups: The International, Next Day Air, Revenge of the Fallen, Year One.

Not going to lie the only two good movies I saw this year were Star Trek and Taken, District 9 was ok but everything else was complete garbage as far as I'm concerned with ROTF being the worst.
