With the 83rd Academy Awards this Sunday, I think it may be time for us at TFW to hold a poll - who do you pick for Best Picture of 2010?

Morgan Freeman: "The nominees for Best Picture of 2010 are...

    The Social Network
    Inception
    True Grit
    127 Hours
    Toy Story 3
    The King's Speech
    Winter's Bone
    The Fighter
    Black Swan
... and The Kids Are Alright."

If it hasn't been obvious enough from my non-stop praise for the film since before it came out, I pick Toy Story 3 (I apologize if I've annoyed anyone, it wasn't my intention to do so). What's your choice?

    "And the winner is..."

EDIT: If you think a movie that wasn't nominated should win, go ahead, feel free to share which film. :)

The King's Speech. The acting in that film is just unreal.

Regardless of the possibilities or not, I vote Inception. The story was amazing, the concept was great, and it was just enjoyable.

Realistically, I'd hope for Black Swan.

Toy Story 3, since it's the only one of those I actually saw. The only other one I actually wanted to see is Inception but I've also heard that King's Speech is also good...just not my kind of movie.

And I'm pleasantly surprised that I've actually heard of most of the nominees this year, all except "Kids Are Alright".

Out of the ones on that list, I only seen Winter's Bone, Inception, and Toy Story 3. It's a close call between Winter's Bone and Inception, and I go with Inception because I like it just a bit more than WB.

Of those listed, Toy Story 3,

But, there's no good reason why How to Train Your Dragon isn't on the list.

I'd go with Inception first, The King's Speech second, and The Fighter third. I've seen all except for Winter's Bone (might see it tonight) and The Kids are Alright.

Toy Story 3 is the least of those I've seen, and HTTYD deserves the nomination instead.

I've seen all of them except Winter's Bone and The Kids are Alright.

As far as most entertaining movie goes, it would be Inception for me.

The catogory is for Best Picture though, and in that regard, I think The Social Network should get the award. The pacing of the movie, the unfolding of the story, the score, everything about it was so precise and perfect. King's Speech and the Fighter had great performances, but they weren't as strong in the pacing of their stories. Black Swan and True Grit were both put together very well and both had great lead actresses, but they just lacked depth. Inception was just pure fun.

I feel inception should win but it probly won't, in the end it will either be the kings speech or social network. I have yet to see the kings speech unfourtently so I voted social network.

Went with Toy Story 3 from the list. (only saw 4 of the 10).

My personal favorite film of 2010 though was Scott Pilgrim.

I think I love you....I want them to get best animated feature, just for once, I want Pixar to lose.

OT: Of the movies listed, I voted for True Grit, I haven't been impressed with am adults movie (let alone a Western) in a long time.

They will. There's only 3 movies in the Best Animated Feature, and 1 of them is a 2D animated art film. Toy Story 3 and How To Train Your Dragon will lose to it. I've got nothing against Pixar or Dreamworks, it's just the art films always get picked as winners.

I loved that movie. I felt like the only one that did.

Totally went right out and read the book. Franco gets my pick for best actor.

I honestly had to go with The Social Network overall.

Granted, I haven't seen most of the list (True Grit, King's Speech, Black Swan, etc.)

I love Toy Story 3, but Inception blew my bloody mind, Inception for the win, but The Social Network or The Kings Speech will probably win.

Not saying it was a bad movie by any stretch of the imagination, it was pretty rad, but man the internet takes Nolan movies way too fuckin' seriously :(
