Always curious to see what others are buying and what I might have been missing...

Two days ago, I read in the newspaper that Dolores O'Riordan had just released her first solo album ("Are you listening?"), Being a fan of the post-Dream/Linger/Zombie era of the Cranberries, I bought it the day after. I was curious to see if she would keep the Cranberries sound and luckily, she did. Excellent album, a natural follow-up to "Wake-up and smell the coffee" imo. Her voice is better than ever (given you like her style of singing). My favorite track right now is "Stay with me".

Last week, I also received my unofficial Nightwish b-sides/rarities compilation ("Nightwishes"). I know little about the band, I only have their best of ("Highest hopes"). Good stuff, very unique sound (metal opera, with a female lead singer). It's funny that I'm starting with such a compilation, but as far as non-album tracks are concerned, I'll be covered because this 2CD set includes all their b-sides, non-album tracks, collaborations and scores. Even their first demo (3 tracks) is included. Now I need to buy all their albums.

Picked up the third FLCL soundtrack by the Pillows recently.

Got a Ravi Shankar album as well. I've never heard music that connects this well with me....

That's one I'd be curious to hear. Does he still sound like CCR?

I can't remember the last cd I bought, but the last record I bought was a sealed first pressing of Black Sabbath's Paranoid album.
