Have any of you ever had this, or something like this happen? I am sitting here working at my [SARCASM]wonderful and fulfilling[\SARCASM] job and I hear a "SNAP-HISS" next to my right hand. I quickly discovered that my wireless mouse wasn't working. Upon opening the battery compartment I saw that there was goop oozing out of the right battery. The mouse is effectively dead. I bought it as a Logitech Setpoint combo. I wonder if I can just buy a new mouse and have it sync up with the existing signal receptor the keyboard uses. Despite my certifications and years working in IT, I find I am strangely ignorant on replacing these devices.
If it's anything like my own wireless mouse at home. I can just resync said mouse with said reciever. Sorta like how you can use a wireless Xbox 360 controller on a completely different Xbox 360.
that happened to me once, i just replaced the batteries and it worked ok. i fucking hate wireless mice that don't recharge though, its so annoying when they're low!
As it turns out it was cheaper to buy a whole new desktop (keyboard\mouse combo) than to just buy the mouse. I got a new Logitech set for $30. What do you think I am, some idiot that wants to be on Jackass? I put it on my bagel. So, in the past 3 weeks I have had my Xbox get the RROD, my Mitsubishi DLP TV quit working (still not fixed) the batteries in my cordless mouse went 'pop', and now today my Sherwood receiver started shutting itself off. The good news is that I have figured out the root cause of all this:
