Damn. Thank God I didn´t watch Shadowzone, if it is that bad.

 

It's not really that bad, it just sucks compared to the rest of the season.

I quite like Shadowzone.
It sorta looked like the PS2 game "SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS' meets TF. Ok the story was pap. But I can see how the writers are doing their homework into epic movie and game tie ins.

Anyway.
Con Job.
Wheel Jack in prime was a dreadful use of cameo appearance. TFAnimated does it right.

Speed Metal.
A good idea, but I found the episode fairly dull.

Master and student.
While it moved the main plot with Megs and Starscream. I found Skyquake to be a flawed character. He could have been so much better.

first off, I'll just say I'm surprised to see Scrapheap and Rock Bottom popping up here. s'far as I've seen, 99% of the population loves them, including me. to each his/her own of course, just sayin...
and someone hated One Shall Fall?? IMPOSSIBLE!!!   haha no I respect others' opinions, I was just really surprised to read that!

I don't know why everyone hates on Shadowzone lol ... ok yes I do, but I personally like it, just cause I think Starscream is hilarious with losing his arm and all.

my least faves? agreed that Darkness Rising Part 3 was the least memorable of the openers. when parts 1-5 first came out, they were all amazing, but now they're mostly "meh." my others are Speed Metal, Operation Breakdown, Metal Attraction, and TMI ...mostly the same as everyone else.

Shadowzone, T.M.I, and I would say Rock Bottom and Speed Metal but Miko crying in the former and Knockout being in the latter kept me watching.

 

I loved pretty much all the episodes, my least favorities are:

1. Con Job
2. Deus Ex Machina
3. TMI
4. Metal Attraction
5. Speed Metal

And I liked Shadowzone  

 

1. Darkness Rising Part 1- killing cliffjumper so early.
2. Master and Students- killing skyquake in his debut.
3. Con Job- wheeljack Hi and Goodbye see you next time.
4. Convoy- just something about the episode.
5. TMI- Bulkhead not smart hes warrior.

 

What was wrong with Shadowzone? I didn't know so many people hated it.

My 5 least favorite were probably the Darkness Rising episodes. And TMI. Only good parts of TMI were the Knock Out and Breakdown moments.

EDIT: Annnd I just realized I already responded to this thread. Whatever. Still don't get why Shadowzone was so bad though.

 

Bulkhead needs to actually say this at some point in the show.

Anyway, only T.M.I is pretty much the only episode that stands out as being bad to me, mainly because it pretty much just rehashed stuff we already knew about the Bulk/Miko pair without covering any new ground.

As an aside, I actually found Shadowzone a lot of fun. Watching Starscream losing his shit is always entertaining.

I really like this show, but these eps are my least favorite for the following reasons...

Con Job - this episode was one cliche after another, right down to Wheeljack being a sword-wielding ninja man. Very predictable and, unfortunately, boring. On the plus side, it had some memorable lines of dialog.

Deus Ex Machna - The involvement of the kids in the museum caper felt really forced, and seemed out of character for Optimus who, for the rest of the season, has tried to keep human beings out of harm's way. On the plus side, the introduction of Knock Out and Breakdown as recurring characters seemed to make everybody happy.

Metal Attraction - very forgettable. I don't even remember what went on in this ep, but I do remember the misguided message on Jack's mom being a killjoy and Miko being jealous of Arcee and Bulkhead. Weird character development that really went nowhere, except for the last moment when Airachnid was accepted back into the Decepticon fold. That would have made for a very interesting episode.

Predatory - this might have been better if Airachnid was a better villain. She has a joyless maliciousness to her that I have yet to find appealing. And her "collection"? Hello nightmare fuel! The ending was also a bit lame since all it required was an explosion to end the conflict.

TMI - this episode was necessary for the introduction of synthetic energon, but it had the misfortune of airing after Rock Bottom, which hit a lot of the same plot points (Miko and Bulkhead development, role reversal, etc.) and was superior in almost every way. It probably didn't help that it was one in a line of MacGuffin episodes that seemed to blur together.

Thank for reminding me what keeped me watching that atrocity. Anyways, I forgot to add Deus Ex Machina and Con Job but I give the latter credit for introducing Wheeljack and his connection with Bulkhead.
