I believe my very first job was working at a grocery store called Cub Foods during the summer after 8th grade. I got paid like 7 bucks an hour.
I did all the crappy jobs like bagging, collecting carts in the parking lot, janitorial duties.. etc.. It sucked!

Woolworth when they were still around in the states. Was a stocker, couldn't stand it. I made whatever minimum wage was in 1992.

McDonald's minimum wage was $5.25 then I think. I actually stayed for a while then got fed up.

When I had no money left in my savings I got a job bussing tables after highschool. Once I went to serving the good times began. Those were the party years. Resturant folks know how to have a good time.

Minimum wage ($4.25 at the time I think) as a stockperson at a local hardware store, a scenario used in approximately 35% of all sitcoms ever, and with good reason.

You know it!! I worked at my last place for 6 years because we were all so tight. I only left because my wife(girlfriend at the time) got pregnant and I needed to find something more stable. I miss those people though.

Started working on the farm when I was 7 or 8 years old. $1 an hour! First "student" job was for the local OTJ building the new boards for our community hockey rink and doing maintenance for them (cutting the grass, painting, etc.). Something like $7 an hour or so.

If working for the family does not count my first job was as a Video Games Designer at Argonaut Games in London.

I was made redundant after 3 years of progressively more taxing and demanding work... it still stings to this day I'll admit.

$4.25 and hour washing semis for my grandpa's trucking company when I was 14. Made about $125 a week over two years. Bought my first car in cash and the only time I had to pay anything for my college degree was my very last semester. All because of this job.
