MTMTE. The pinnacle of not only Transformers comics, but Transformers fiction in general, in my very humble opinion.

MTMTE. Best comic (Transformers or otherwise) I've read in a long time.

MTMTE is better written, but I find the overall story in RID to be more interesting. It would be difficult to choose one over the other. Both are miles better than previous TF comics.

I want to say MTMTE because is so good. Really damn good. Its introduced lots of little known characters and turned them into fan favorites (the Scavengers are damn near perfect).

    But...

I honestly prefer RID. I just love the political drama, and these last two issues with Ironhide and the Dinobots have been great.

    And no poll?

    MtMtE is great.

That said, I have to go with BW The Gathering. It's really not as good as MtMtE, but I loved it.

Marvel UK is the pinnacle, nothing will ever beat it.

As for what's coming out now... erm... they're all on an equal level of goodness.

My fave Comic is the Guyver Bio-booster armour series (the OP doesn't state that it has to be a TF comic :p  ).

Anyway my fave TF comic at the moment is still Marvel UK, but MTMTE is probably the best writen TF comic in a long time.

I still haven't gotten the chance to read any of them and I still say they are better than what Marvel and DC are putting out these days.

    More Than Meets The Eye.

Before the first issue was released, I wasn't expecting much from it. Bunch of random characters, most have had very little characterisation in the past.

But I was a fan from day one from reading it. You can really see that they have long plans for these characters and the world around them. They are not just making it up as they go along as was evident in many past series, including the Marvel comics.

It doesn't matter that there is no fighting, that we are not seeing Autobot vs. Decepticon battles every issue. The writing and characterisation is great. Even weak issues are much better than Costa's strongest issue. It really does come across as the Transformers equivalent of Red Dwarf - bunch of guys on a spaceship travelling through space, but its so much more involved than it sounds. If Costa or even Furman were writing the same premise, they wouldn't be able to make it as good as we are getting.

MTMTE is the benchmark that all future Transformers comics will be measured against.
