G1 - actually did stuff. Ate planets/moons & bitchslapped cybertron.
AEC - meh. He transformed and more or less stood there.
Prime - Interesting idea but he can never do anything since it would destroy the Earth. We know writers aren't going to kill billions of humans.

    G1 is the winner.

    G1.

I don't buy Unicron being the Earth still.

    Prime.

I just love John Noble's version of him, makes him a much more worthy foe forn Primus: He sounds "kingly", his voice gives me that "Biblical God gone evil" feeling: You can see a godly nature on his voice, an "above-all" nature, but still sounding evil.

Even when he invokes his wrath, he's still remarkably soft-spoken and elaborated on his language["They too shall know my wrathful hand, once I'm finished with YOU" and "For Unicron may be one, but we all are Unicron."].

I love Orson Welles, but his take on Unicron is little more than "I'M A PLANETING EATING MONSTAH, NOM NOM NOM"

G1 comics. Not cartoon created by a space monkey version.

I'm afraid I am responsible. It all started with my Megatron poll. :p

Anyway, I grew up with the Unicron Trilogy Unicron, so he holds a place in my heart, but I have to vote for TF Prime Unicron because having him be the Earth's core was just a brilliant idea, and it was done very well.

Definitely G1. I remember watching the movie when I was little and he was so menacing and imposing. Prime is second for sure though. Great season finale.

Sorry Citizen Kane Unicron, but Prime Unicron was more effective to me. I just hope we haven't heard the last of him because his 'supposed exit' was sort of crap.

I didn't like G1 Unicron very much as a kid. I thought Prime did a good job doing something a little different with the character.

G1 Unicron, the prime version did not seem that powerful and the Armada version just hung in space and moaned.

    G1.

Dude what the fuck? Unicron's the same in all continuities, isn't he? Eternal destroyer, harbinger of death, and it doesn't change the fact he destroys worlds. So how can a singularity as Unicron be "different"?

Thing is, I don't think the TFP bible or the TFP writers give a damn about that singularity nonsense. And I don't either. Back when there was a perceived need to have every version of Transformers connect in some way, they cobbled up the singularity thing to bridge the gap between series. But all it does is create needless confusion. They're all different far as I'm concerned.

I'm kind of torn. I love G1 Unicron, but Prime Unicron was such a fresh take on a worn and weary concept. . . .
UT Unicron was pretty unremarkable, but I liked how the bot/con alliance was handled during his attack. Sideways was cool. Unicron was. . . did he even talk in that show?

I was thinking about it, and you know in TFTM when Unicron grabs Galvatron in his hand? The proportions are way off. He's supposed to be as big as a moon or a planet, but his size in relation to Galvy (and others) would make him about as big as a large mountain or the statue of liberty. So when I saw TFP Unicron form from a giant mountain, I was like- yeah! He's literally about the same size as G1 Unicron!
